1.7.1. For the publication of the seniority list and the application of any action affected by seniority rights, Employees will be divided into the following job classifications: Attendance Counsellors Court Liaison Workers Child and Youth Counsellors Child and Youth Workers Educational Audiologists Multilingual Team Leaders Occupational Therapists/Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists Psychology Psychologists Psychological Associates Psycho-Educational Consultants Social Workers Speech-Language Pathologists Student Equity Program Advisors
E.1.7.2 In determining the appropriate seniority group, the Employee’s membership or eligibility to become a member of a college or governing body for the profession in question, current employment and past experience in the above job classifications shall be considered.
E.1.7.3 There will be no interchange between the above seniority groups as a result of application of seniority except that prior to layoff, Surplus Child and Youth Counsellors who hold Child and Youth Worker qualifications will be considered for placement in vacancies in Child and Youth Worker job classifications, provided that no Child and Youth Worker is surplus to the Employer.
E.1.7.4 Nothing herein precludes Surplus Employees from obtaining positions for which they are qualified in other job classifications through the job posting process.
Seniority Groups. The following Local, District and Regional Seniority Groups are hereby established:
Seniority Groups. A. All permanent hourly and salary job classifications will be assigned to occupational seniority units.
B. The following is a current list of the occupational seniority units: Occupational Seniority Unit 1 (Technicians: Environmental Test, Integration, Precision Assembly, Optics, Thermal Blankets, Cables, Recertification, Planning / Integration & Assembly Support, Machining, Maintenance, Contamination Control, Plating) Occupational Seniority Unit 2 (Professionals) Occupational Seniority Unit 3 (Janitors) Occupational Seniority Unit 4 (WFF non-exempt) Occupational Seniority Unit 5 (WFF exempt) The Company will be required to post a notice of any change in the list of occupational seniority units no later than three (3) days prior to the effective date of such change. Any such change will be discussed with the Union at least two (2) days prior to the posting.
Seniority Groups. A. Each Member shall be assigned to a seniority group based on the original position for which employed and/or to which specifically assigned at a later date in accordance with departmental procedures. In the event that a Member transfers to another seniority group, they shall retain, but not accumulate, seniority in the seniority group from which transferred. A Member who transfers or is transferred under any conditions of employment to another seniority group shall earn seniority credit at a rate of one (1) year credit for each year of service, beginning with their first day of work in the new seniority group.
B. Seniority groups shall not be created, merged or deleted without an advisory vote of the affected Members at least sixty (60) working days before the action takes place.

S Montréal Common Spare Board Clerical Positions X-0 Xxxxxxx Division Toronto Clerical staff Yard offices, and Mechanical department clerks.
Seniority Groups. A. Seniority groups are incorporated by reference into this Agreement pursuant to Attachment A. Any changes that are necessary will be negotiated between the EMPLOYER and the ASSOCIATION.
B. Seniority for purposes of layoff, recall and bumping, shall be as defined in Article 7, Section 1, of this Agreement, except for the first two (2) calendar years in a job classification in this unit. During an employee's first two (2) calendar years within this bargaining unit, the employee's seniority for layoff, recall and bumping purposes shall include only the employee's continuous length of service since their most recent date of employment in the job classification from which they are being laid off.
