Seniority and Bidding. The first trip driver assignments of a season shall be based on seniority. Seniority shall be an employee’s length of continuous service since the date of his or her employment (hire date). The driver with the most seniority shall head the point rotation list, the driver with the second amount of seniority shall be second on the list, and ending the list shall be the person with the least amount of seniority. The person making the trip driver assignments shall be the “assignment officer.”
Seniority and Bidding. 9.1 System seniority shall be defined as the uninterrupted length of service within the bargaining unit by an employee with the Board as computed from the most recent date of hire.
Seniority and Bidding. 2.1 Departmental Seniority for bidding into the Distribution Dispatcher or Associate Distribution Dispatcher classifications will include seniority in the Line Department, the Substation Construction and Substation Maintenance Departments, and the System Protection and Control Department, or any combination thereof. Employees bidding into the Distribution Dispatcher or Associate Distribution Dispatcher classifications from these seniority departments shall have held or must currently hold Journeyman classifications or above either be at the fifth (5th) step or higher in the Distribution Lineman Apprentice program, or be at the eighth (8th) step or higher in the Electrician Apprentice programs in the Line,
Seniority and Bidding. Seniority shall accumulate from the date of employment and shall continue during all authorized leaves with or without pay. Group seniority for bidding purposes is the employee’s date he/she started in his/her current group, only (current – at time the vacancy is posted).
Seniority and Bidding. 4.0 If a vacancy is not filled under paragraph 4.1, the City will notify the Shop Committee chairman and the Union President that a new employee is to be hired listing his job classification and starting salary. Whenever a new employee is hired, notification will be given as to his name, job classification, and starting salary expressed as an annual amount.
