Service Management Systems. The Service Management Database System UNE is defined as a computer database or system not part of the public switched network that: (i) interconnects to the service control point and sends to that service control point the information and call processing instructions needed for a network switch to process and complete a telephone call and (ii) provides telecommunications carriers with the capability of entering and storing data regarding the processing and completing of a telephone call.

Service Management Systems. 6.3.1 Ameritech shall provide CLEC with the information necessary to enter correctly, or format for entry, the information relevant for input into Ameritech's Service Management System (“SMS”). In addition, Ameritech shall provide CLEC equivalent access to design, create, test, and deploy Advanced Intelligent Network. 6.3.2 Access will provided in an equivalent manner to that which Ameritech currently uses to provide such access to itself (e.g., submitting magnetic tapes if CLEC inputs magnetic tapes, or through an electronic interface equivalent to that used by CLEC). The Implementation Team shall set forth in the Implementation Plan the terms and conditions relating to such access. If the Implementation Team is unable to agree to appropriate mediation mechanisms with respect to access to the AIN SMSs and SCEs, the Parties shall adopt the mechanisms adopted by the Commission. 6.3.3 Ameritech shall provide access to its SMS in a manner that complies with the CPNI requirements of Section 222 of the Act.

In addition, CBT shall provide AWS equivalent access to design, create, test, and deploy Advanced Intelligent Network-based services at the SMS. 5.3.2 CBT shall provide AWS with the information necessary to enter correctly, or format for entry, the information relevant for input into its SMS. Access will be provided in an equivalent manner to that which CBT currently uses to provide such access to itself (e.g., submitting magnetic tapes if AWS inputs magnetic tapes, or through an electronic interface equivalent to that used by AWS). The Committee shall set forth in the Implementation Plan the terms and conditions relating to such access. Service Management Systems. The Contractor shall utilize the Government-furnished ITSM system and other Service Management Systems. The Contractor shall provide an analysis of existing SMS tools to determine if they are efficient and functional as required in Call Orders against this BPA. The Contractor shall provide improvement recommendations to streamline and manage the SMS. The Contractor shall ensure that any proposed hardware or software meets DoD IT security requirements. The Contractor shall ensure that proposed solutions are capable of being hosted in Government Approved Hosting Environment. Government approved recommendations shall be provided to the Continual Improvement practices. The Contractor shall manage the SMS to a common set of processes and performance standards that will ensure the accomplishment of the goals for the Integrated Environment and DHA's mission, and in accordance to the performance requirements as described in the attachment found in Exhibit 3 (Performance Requirements Summary). The Contractor shall secure access to all SMS such that authorized users have appropriate access to the tools and functions that support their role. In particular, the Contractor shall secure the portions of the SMS that maintains information on the SIPRNet Environment, such that the information is only accessible to those authorized users with credentials to work in the SIPRNet Environment. The Contractor shall actively and responsively coordinate deployments of updates to the SMS with the Government and other Government designated contractors. The Contractor shall conduct/attend walk-throughs and/or meetings where the SMS are discussed, as directed by the Government. The Contractor shall participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as directed by the Government.

OS/DA. The OS/DA UNE is defined as: (a) any automatic or live assistance to a consumer to arrange for billing or completion, or both, of a telephone call (OS); and (b) a service that allows subscribers to retrieve telephone numbers of other subscribers (DA). In accordance with Rule 51.319(f), VERIZON will not provide OS/DA as a UNE when it offers customized routing. Where SPRINT provides its own OS/DA platform, SPRINT is required to route its OS/DA traffic to its platform over customized routing. Upon written request, VERIZON will provide SPRINT a list of Central Office Switches that can provide customized routing using line class codes or similar method (regardless of current capacity limitations). SPRINT will return a written list of these switches ranked in priority order. VERIZON will return to SPRINT a schedule for customized routing in the Central Office Switches with existing capabilities and capacity. In response to SPRINT’s written request, VERIZON will also provide SPRINT with applicable charges, and terms and conditions, for providing OS and DA, branding (such branding shall be provided consistent with Section 2.5 of the Resale Attachment to this Agreement), and customized routing. Subject to the above provisions, VERIZON will choose the method of implementing customized routing of OS/DA calls. When VERIZON offers customized routing to SPRINT, SPRINT will be responsible for the transport to route OS/DA traffic to the designated platform. If a dedicated transport UNE is used to route OS/DA traffic to the designated platform, SPRINT must purchase a trunk side port and establish a collocation arrangement in accordance with the Collocation Attachment. If the dedicated transport UNE used to route OS/DA traffic to the designated platform is ordered out of the applicable access tariff, no collocation arrangement or trunk side port is required. OSS. This includes subcomponents of the SMS, but not limited to Incident Management System, Change Management System, Configuration Management System and Configuration Management Database (CMDB), etc. The SMS shall be managed to a common set of processes and performance standards that will ensure the accomplishment of the goals for the main processes and DHA's mission.
