SHIFT ALLOWANCE AND SHIFT WORKERS. (a) Employees who are Shift Workers working on any day of the shifts as defined in this sub-clause shall in addition to their ordinary rates of pay for each shift be paid allowances as set out in the following items of Appendix A2: Allowances (i) Morning shift (ii) Afternoon shift (iii) Night shift (b) For the purpose of this sub-clause (i) Morning shift shall mean a shift starting between 1.00 am and 4.00 am, and finishing between 9 am and midday. The intention of the morning shift is to provide customer service drivers to deliver to non traditional foodservice customers, unless otherwise agreed. (ii) Afternoon shift shall mean a shift finishing after 7.30 pm and at or before midnight. (iii) Night shift shall mean a shift finishing after midnight and at or before 9:00 am.

(ii) Afternoon shift shall mean a rostered shift finishing after 6.00pm and at or before midnight. (iii) Night shift shall mean a rostered shift finishing after midnight and at or before 6am (c) The Company may place employees on shift work, or transfer employees from one shift to another, but before doing so, must give one week’s notice and advise the employee in writing of its intention to do so and of the intended starting and finishing times of the shifts. (d) If agreed between the parties to this agreement, Drivers and Driver/Storemen wishing to start up to 1 hour before 6am may do so in day work hours. Requests must be made in writing and approval will be in accordance with the needs of the business. No shift loadings will be payable to these employees. (e) For the purposes of public holiday payments, the whole of a shift will be deemed to have been worked on the day on which the shift ends. Therefore, if the day on which the shift ends is a Public Holiday, the employee will be entitled to all benefits of a Public Holiday for that entire shift. Similarly, if the day on which a shift commences is a Public Holiday, the employee will not be entitled to any Public holiday benefits for that entire shift.
SHIFT ALLOWANCE AND SHIFT WORKERS. (a) Employees who are Shift Workers working on any day of the shifts as defined in this sub-clause shall, in addition to their ordinary rates of pay, be paid allowances as set out in the following items of Appendix A4, Monetary Allowances: (i) Morning shift (10%) (ii) Afternoon shift (15%) (iii) Night shift (30%) (b) For the purpose of this sub-clause (i) Morning shift shall mean a shift ending after 9.00am and at or before 12.00pm; (ii) Afternoon shift shall mean a shift finishing after 8.00pm and at or before midnight; (iii) Night shift shall mean a shift finishing after midnight and at or before 9.00am. (c) The Company may place employees on shift work, or transfer employees from one shift to another, but before doing so, must give 7 days’ notice and advise the employee in writing of its intention to do so and of the intended starting and finishing times of the shifts. (d) By agreement between an employee and the Company, employees may start their shifts up to one hour before the commencement of ordinary hours without being shift allowance being payable on that time.

SHIFT ALLOWANCE AND SHIFT WORKERS. (i) Employees who are shift workers working on any day of the shifts as defined in this Clause shall in addition to their ordinary rates of pay for the classifications prescribed in Clause 10 - Wages, of the Award, for each shift be paid allowances as set out in the following items of Table 7:- Early Morning Shift - Item 28 Afternoon Shift - Item 29 Night Shift - Item 30 Permanent Night Shift on a continuous non-rotating 24 hour, 7 day roster - Item 30 (ii) For the purpose of this Clause: Early morning shift shall mean a shift finishing after 9am and before 2pm and for the purposes of preparing mixes may commence at 4am. Afternoon shift shall mean a shift finishing after 6pm and at or before midnight. Night shift shall mean a shift finishing subsequent to midnight and at or before 9am.

  • Shift Allowances (a) An Employee whilst on afternoon or night shift must be paid for such shift 15% more than the Employee’s ordinary rate. (b) An Employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue for at least five successive afternoons or nights must be paid for such shift at time and a half for the first two hours thereof and double time thereafter. (c) An Employee who: (i) during a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; (ii) remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or (iii) works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give the Employee at least one third of their working time off night shift in each shift cycle; must, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid 30% more than their ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift.

  • Shift Allowance In addition to the wage specified in sub-clause (1), read with sub- clause (12), a normal shift worker shall, in respect of his shift hours worked in any week, be paid an additional 12,5% on such wage.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager. Payment will be made by the first full paycheck of the employee’s date of hire and annually thereafter. Boots must meet applicable OSHA standards for the duties assigned.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Service Core Allowance The company shall pay $0.95 per hour for all work carried out in construction of service core. This allowance will be adjusted annually (effective from 1 June) in accordance with CPI movements (All Groups, Melbourne) for the preceding 12 months to March (increases to be rounded to the nearest 5 cents).

  • First Aid Allowance An employee who has been trained to render first aid and who is the current holder of appropriate first aid qualifications such as a certificate from the St. John's Ambulance or similar body shall be paid a weekly allowance of $11.50 if appointed by their employer to perform first aid duty.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • Transportation Allowance When an employee is required to travel to the Hospital or to return to her home as a result of reporting to or off work between the hours of hours, (other than reporting to or off work for her regular shift) or at any time while on standby, the Hospital will pay transportation costs either by taxi or by her own vehicle at the rate of thirty-five cents ($0.35) per mile (to a maximum of fourteen dollars ($14.00)) or such greater amount as the Hospital may in its discretion determine for each trip between the aforementioned hours. The employee will provide to the Hospital satisfactory proof of payment of such taxi fare.

  • Fares and Travel Allowance All Employees shall be entitled to receive the fares and travel allowance as follows:

  • Isolation Allowance ‌ Employees in the following Communities shall receive an Isolation Allowance of $74.00 per month.
