Shift Loadings. 28.3.1 The following shift loading shall apply:
a) an Afternoon shift Employee must be paid a loading of 17.5% of their base rate of pay.
b) a Night shift Employee must be paid a loading of 30% of their base rate of pay.
28.3.2 A Casual Employee engaged on shift work must be paid 25% casual loading and the relevant shift loading as specified in clause 28.
3.1. To avoid doubt, Casual Employees working shift work will not be subject to overtime payments unless their working hours exceeds an average of 38 hours over a seven (7) day period.
28.3.3 An Employee who is rostered to perform the major portion of their shift work on a Saturday or Sunday or a public holiday shall be paid the Weekend or Public Holiday rates instead of the Shift loading rate expressed in this clause.
Shift Loadings. (a) A shift loading of 15% shall apply to ordinary afternoon and or night shifts which rotate with day work so as to give employees at least one third of their time off afternoon or night shift.
(b) A shift loading of 25% shall apply to non-rotating afternoon shift.
(c) A shift loading of 30% shall apply to non-rotating night shift.
(d) Employees required to work ordinary shifts on a public holiday shall be paid in accordance with sub clause 39.8 of this Agreement.
Shift Loadings. All Other Staff Type of Shift Loading Early morning shift - any shift commencing before 6.00am 10% Afternoon shift - any shift finishing after 6.30pm and at or before 8.30pm 10% Late Afternoon shift - any shift finishing after 8.30pm and before midnight 12.5% Night shift – any shift finishing at or after midnight and at or before 8.00am 15% Permanent Night Shift - means any shift system in which shifts are worked which do not rotate or alternate with other or another shift so as to give the employee at least one third of their working time off night shifts in each roster period 30% Saturday – any shift on a Saturday 50% Sunday - any shift on a Sunday 75% Public Holiday – any shift on a Public Holiday 150%
(1) The University and an employee covered by this Agreement may agree to make an individual flexibility arrangement to vary the effect of terms of the Agreement as follows and on the terms stated:
(a) Any of the following matters:
(i) taking of long service leave; and
(ii) taking of annual leave.
(b) the arrangement meets the genuine needs of the University and an employee in relation to one (1) or more of the matters mentioned in paragraph (a) above; and
(c) the arrangement is genuinely agreed to by the University and the employee.
(2) The University must ensure that the terms of the individual flexibility arrangement:
(a) are about permitted matters under section 172 of the Fair Work Act 2009; and
(b) are not unlawful terms under section 194 of the Fair Work Act 2009; and
(c) result in the employee being better off overall than the employee would be if no arrangement was made.
(3) The University must ensure that the individual flexibility arrangement:
(a) is in writing; and
(b) includes the names of the University and the employee; and
Shift Loadings. (a) Employees will be paid a loading of 30% for all ordinary hours of work worked between 6.00pm and 6.00am.
(b) Designated Shift Workers who work a Saturday Shift will be paid a loading of 50% for the first two hours and 100% thereafter.
(c) Designated Shift Workers who work a Sunday Shift will be paid a loading of 100% for all ordinary hours worked.
Shift Loadings. (a) Afternoon shift - employees performing work on afternoon shift shall be paid a shift loading of 17.5% on the employee’s ordinary hour rate of pay for all ordinary hours of work conducted.
(b) Night shift - employees performing work on night shift shall be paid a shift loading of 30% on the employee’s ordinary hour rate of pay for all ordinary hours of work conducted.
Shift Loadings a. Afternoon shift - employees who work afternoon shift will be paid a shift allowance of 18.75% of their ordinary rate in addition to their ordinary rate.
b. Night shift - employees who work night shift will be paid a shift allowance of 22.5% of their ordinary rate in addition to their ordinary rate.
Shift Loadings. Day shift Ordinary hourly wage rate Afternoon/night shift Ordinary hourly wage rate plus 15% Permanent non-rotating night shift Ordinary hourly wage rate plus 30% Shift loading is not payable on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays or Overtime hours.
Shift Loadings. (a) An employee working an evening shift shall be paid a loading of 15% on their ordinary rate of pay for the whole of such shift.
(b) An employee who works a night shift shall be paid a loading of 30% on their ordinary rate of pay for the whole of such shift.
(c) An employee who works a Saturday shift shall be paid a loading of 50% on their ordinary rate of pay for that part of such shift.
(d) An employee who works a Sunday shift shall be paid a loading of 75% on their ordinary rate of pay for that part of such shift.
(e) An employee who works a Public Holiday shift shall be paid a loading of 150% on their ordinary rate of pay for that part of such shift.

Shift Loadings. 18.5.1 The following loadings will be paid in addition to ordinary rates for all shifts worked between 00:01 hours Monday and 24:00 hours Friday:
(a) Early Morning Shifts commencing from 04:00 to before 07:00 – 15%
(b) Early morning shift (Mascot only) commencing at or before 06:00 – 17.5% (c) Early morning shift commencing between midnight and 04.00 – 22.5%
