Shift Loadings. 28.3.1 The following shift loading shall apply: a) an Afternoon shift Employee must be paid a loading of 17.5% of their base rate of pay. b) a Night shift Employee must be paid a loading of 30% of their base rate of pay. 28.3.2 A Casual Employee engaged on shift work must be paid 25% casual loading and the relevant shift loading as specified in clause 28. 3.1. To avoid doubt, Casual Employees working shift work will not be subject to overtime payments unless their working hours exceeds an average of 38 hours over a seven (7) day period. 28.3.3 An Employee who is rostered to perform the major portion of their shift work on a Saturday or Sunday or a public holiday shall be paid the Weekend or Public Holiday rates instead of the Shift loading rate expressed in this clause.

Shift Loadings. (a) A shift loading of 15% shall apply to ordinary afternoon and or night shifts which rotate with day work so as to give employees at least one third of their time off afternoon or night shift. (b) A shift loading of 25% shall apply to non-rotating afternoon shift. (c) A shift loading of 30% shall apply to non-rotating night shift. (b) the arrangement meets the genuine needs of the University and an employee in relation to one (1) or more of the matters mentioned in paragraph (a) above; and (c) the arrangement is genuinely agreed to by the University and the employee. (2) The University must ensure that the terms of the individual flexibility arrangement: (a) are about permitted matters under section 172 of the Fair Work Act 2009; and (b) are not unlawful terms under section 194 of the Fair Work Act 2009; and (c) result in the employee being better off overall than the employee would be if no arrangement was made. (3) The University must ensure that the individual flexibility arrangement: (a) is in writing; and (b) includes the names of the University and the employee; and
Shift Loadings. (a) Employees will be paid a loading of 30% for all ordinary hours of work worked between 6.00pm and 6.00am. (b) Designated Shift Workers who work a Saturday Shift will be paid a loading of 50% for the first two hours and 100% thereafter. (c) Designated Shift Workers who work a Sunday Shift will be paid a loading of 100% for all ordinary hours worked.
