Simulator. This clause has been included to permit the RFDS to introduce the use of Simulators in the future should that decision be taken. 26.11.1 A pilot will be given as much notice as possible of a session in the flight simulator. However: 26.11.2 The minimum notice will be seven (7) days. 26.11.3 The period of notice specified in clauses 26.11.2 may be reduced only with the pilot’s approval or, where cancellation of a properly checked flight or training period has been followed by a re- scheduling for a later date advised to the pilot. 26.11.4 Every endeavour will be made to conduct simulator-training sessions during the hours of 0500 and 2300 local time. However, duty times for simulator check sessions will be between 0500 and 2300 local time. A pilot can by mutual agreement conduct a check session in the period 2300 and 0500 local time. A pilot shall be rostered a minimum 12 hour rest period prior to first simulator session duty. This can be varied by mutual agreement. 26.11.5 The following additional conditions will apply: 26.11.6 Syllabi for training sessions will be promulgated such that the pilot will be able to prepare for specific simulator sessions. 26.11.7 A simulator duty period will be regarded as duty and the limitations of Civil Aviation Orders Part 48 will apply thereto, except that: 26.11.8 No other duties, with the exception of those listed herein will be undertaken in the same duty period as any simulator duty. 26.11.9 A pilot will not be scheduled to undertake more than four (4) hours simulator training and or checking on any one calendar day. 26.11.10 A break of twenty (20) minutes will be allowed at the completion of approximately one hour and fifty minutes (1:50) in the simulator, when such a break is to be followed by further simulator duty, unless the session is a line oriented exercise (XXX) session. The break may be reduced by mutual agreement with check captain and the pilot(s) under check. 26.11.11 The provisions of clauses 26.11.9 and 26.11.10 will be respected when rostering a pilot for simulator checks. 26.11.12 A pilot who fails any simulator check (not involving initial endorsement) will be offered remedial training, followed by a further check in accordance with the line training provisions of this clause (Clause 26). 26.11.13 During the initial introduction of the simulator, some training input may be required by the instructor to assist a pilot to adapt to the simulator. Simulator. Pilot service - terminal and road familiarization in connection with mergers, trackage rights, new ID runs, etc. a. is recognized that work in each area will overlap and claims will not be filed Classroom peer trainers will be primarily used in classroom settings, including rules exams, Red Block, Operation Life Saver, etc. b. Field peer trainers will be primarily used in the field including check rides, xxxxxxx training, new equipment, simulators, pilot service, etc. Employees designated as both classroom and field peer trainers maybe used in either capacity. The two classifications of trainers are meant as guidelines and it because of any overlap. The Carrier may require additional training for peer trainers designed to enhance their ability to perform peer training duties. When sent to another location for additional training or to train others, they will be reimbursed for actual travel expenses as arranged by the Carrier. Employees who receive permission to drive their own automobile will be reimbursed at the then current mileage rate. Employees must turn in expense account forms showing actual travel and meal expenses and receipts where required by Carrier policy. When a training need arises, the Carrier will select a peer trainer(s) from the pool of trainers and assign the trainer(s) to the assignment. If the assignment is anticipated to be 30 days or less, the vacancy, caused by the trainer leaving their regular assignment, will be treated as a temporary vacancy under existing rules. If it is anticipated that the vacancy will be for 31 days or longer, then as a permanent vacancy under existing rules.
Simulator. 37.1 A pilot will be given as much notice as possible of a session in the Flight Simulator. However: (a) If the session is for the pilot's own cyclic check or training, then the minimum notice shall be seven (7) days; or (b) Should a pilot be unable to present for a simulator session, then a pilot nominated as 'Simulator Reserve" will be used. The Company will make best endeavours to ensure Simulator Reserve duties are equitably distributed. Should the "Simulator Reserve' be unavailable, a pilot may be requested to conduct support duty on the day in question. Such requests will be made by Crewing. (b) Each flight station shall be manned during a simulator session by a person approved under the Company’s Training and Checking organisation. 37.3 A flight simulator duty period shall be regarded as flight duty and the provisions of CAO 48 shall apply thereto, except that: (a) No other duties, with the exception of those listed herein, shall be undertaken in the same duty period as a simulator duty period. (b) A pilot will not be scheduled for more than four (4) hours simulator flight time on any single calendar day. A simulator training or checking session will normally consist of a session pre-brief of one (1) for Cyclics or two (2) hours for training, followed by a debrief at the conclusion of the simulator session. (c) For a pilot rostered for a simulator session at their home base, the rostered duty period shall not exceed seven (7) hours. A rostered simulator duty period once commenced will not exceed eight (8) hours, except in the event of simulator unserviceability and by mutual agreement. Simulator. 25.1 A Pilot will be given as much notice as possible of a session in the flight simulator, subject to the following: (a) If the session is for the Pilot’s own check, then the initial minimum notice will be four days. Where a Pilot’s simulator session is deferred to a later date all efforts will be made to provide a Pilot on SOC or reserve at least 4 hours’ notice. (b) After a new simulator date is assigned, mutual consent is required to bring forward a simulator session within 4 days. Where a Pilot is SOC due to an unsuccessful, incomplete check or simulator expiry, this notice period will be reduced to 36 hours unless agreed by mutual agreement. (c) If the person is to act only in the capacity of support Pilot, the minimum notice will be 2 hours. (d) Should a Pilot be unable to attend a simulator session, then a Pilot on "Reserve" may be used as support. (e) The performance of a support Pilot not under check in clause 25.1(c) and 25.1(d) above will not be assessed. Notwithstanding the above, it is incumbent on the Simulator Check Captain to exercise their duties according to their approvals and/or delegations and unsafe actions may result in the support Pilot being made SOC or provided with training in order to demonstrate competency. (f) The period of notice specified in clause 25.1(b) may be reduced only with the Pilot’s approval or, where cancellation of a scheduled check or training session has been followed by a re-scheduling for a later date advised to the Pilot. 25.2 The following additional conditions will apply: (a) Syllabi for training sessions will be promulgated such that the Pilots will be able to prepare for specific simulator sessions and that support Pilots called from “Reserve” are aware of specific simulator details. (b) Each flight station of the simulator will normally be occupied during a simulator session. (c) A Pilot under check or a support Pilot’s duty period will be regarded as duty and the limitations of the FRMS will apply thereto, except that: i) A Pilot will not be rostered or assigned more than five hours of simulator training and/or checking in any one Duty Period; or ii) A Pilot operating in a support role may be rostered or assigned up to six hours of simulator training and/or checking in any one Duty Period, provided that Duty Period includes a break of no less than 30 minutes; or iii) An Instructor or Examiner may be rostered up to seven hours of simulator training and/or checking in any one duty period, provided that ...

  • Trunk Group Architecture and Traffic Routing 5.2.1 The Parties shall jointly establish Access Toll Connecting Trunks between CLEC and CBT by which they will jointly provide Tandem-transported Switched Exchange Access Services to Interexchange Carriers to enable such Interexchange Carriers to originate and terminate traffic from and to CLEC's Customers. 5.2.2 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access and non-translated Toll Free traffic (e.g., 800/888) to allow CLEC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier that is connected to the CBT access Tandem. 5.2.3 The Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be one-way or two-way trunks, as mutually agreed, connecting an End Office Switch that CLEC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access Service in the given LATA to an access Tandem Switch CBT utilizes to provide Exchange Access in the LATA.

  • Evaluation Software If the Software is an evaluation version or is provided to You for evaluation purposes, then, unless otherwise approved in writing by an authorized representative of Licensor, Your license to use the Software is limited solely for internal evaluation purposes in non-production use and in accordance with the terms of the evaluation offering under which You received the Software, and expires 90 days from installation (or such other period as may be indicated within the Software).
