Special Education Assessments. Therapy Additional Compensation Referrals for additional assignment(s)/extra pay assignments(s) are generated by the special education department administrators due to the following circumstances and will be paid at a per diem rate when performed outside of contracted hours: 14.11.1 Assessment requests (IEE, additional) that may be fulfilled by CUSD special education staff members with a specific area of expertise. ○ Cranio-facial/resonance, motor speech, and auditory processing specialist (speech) ○ Xxxxxxx, stuttering specialist (speech) ○ Xxxx & Hard of Hearing and Cochlear Implant Specialist (speech) ○ Alternative Augmentative Communication Specialist (speech) ○ Neuropsychologist (psychologist) ○ Emotional Disturbance and Behavioral Disorders (psychologist) ○ Autism Spectrum Disorders (psychologist) 14.11.2 Assessment/therapy requests that are in addition to current caseloads. 14.11.3 Selecting educational personnel to conduct assessments and/or additional therapy sessions will involve the following process: 14.11.3.1 A survey of current CUSD staff through the department lead. 14.11.3.2 Information requested will include: ○ Desire to work extra assignment(s) ○ Areas of specialized training/experience ○ Availability ○ Congruence of above information to the case (student’s age, program, services, etc.) 14.11.3.3 A special education administrator will review assessment(s)/therapy needs to the list of available and interested special education staff to determine who will receive the additional pay assignment.

Special Education Assessments. 1. Secondary Special Education teachers shall receive one (1) additional preparation period for the purposes of conducting student assessments, facilitating IEP meetings, and for the per- formance of other Special Education duties. No Special Education teacher shall receive more than two (2) preparation periods. 2. Elementary Special Education teachers shall receive up to eight (8) release days for the pur- poses of conducting student assessments, facilitating IEP meetings, and for the performance of other Special Education duties. The number of, and scheduling of, these days shall be mu- tually agreed upon with the site administration and unit member.
Special Education Assessments. Special Education teachers/case managers will be responsible for the completion of assessments during the period of distance learning, consistent with all health requirements practices established for schools and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Given that in-person assessment is not possible, teachers will attempt to complete as much of the assessment as possible. This is true for both initial and triennial assessments. Teachers will not be mandated to report to sites to conduct assessments.

The District salary schedule for the 2015-2016 school year shall be determined by increasing the 58 2014-15 District salary schedule by the 2015-2016 LCFF funded COLA of 1.02% plus the per- 59 centage difference (plus or minus) between the 2014-2015 San Marcos per diem salary and the 00 0000-0000 fourth-ranked (4th) position per diem salary or $3.00 less than the third-ranked (3rd) 61 position, whichever is greater, among the eleven (11) San Diego County unified school districts 1 as of June 30, 2015. For comparison purposes, all salaries will be converted to per diem amounts

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Assessments Sellers shall pay all special assessments which are a lien on the Real Estate as of the date of this contract. All other special assessments shall be paid by Xxxxxx.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor and sent by the Company to the following address: Unifor Education Leave Program c/o Unifor 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0 The Company further agrees that members of the bargaining unit selected by the Union to attend such courses will be granted a Leave of Absence without pay for twenty (20) days class time, plus travel time where necessary, with said Leave of Absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave. Dependent Contractors on such leave will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave.
