Staffing and Security. The COUNTY shall provide program supervision and staff and security at the Premises and pay costs for the same during the Term of Use. The COUNTY shall be responsible for ensuring that the Facilities are secure at the close of each day’s activities.

Staffing and Security. The BCHA requires one staff member to be on site during the event. They will provide directions and answer questions for the Renting Party/Parties’ guests as needed, but they do not provide security. If security is required by the Berrien County Parks Department or the BCHA, then the Renting Party/Parties are responsible for the scheduling and payment of security officers during the event.

The Benefitting Party is not required to improve the condition or cleanliness of the Facilities during or after use. However, the Benefitting Party will ensure that the portion of any Facilities it uses and accesses under this Agreement is left in a reasonably clean and orderly condition after use (e.g., sweeping up, cleaning up spills, checking restrooms, removing substantial amounts of collected trash). The Owning Party shall be responsible for unlocking and opening the Facility(ies) for use by the Benefitting Party; preparing and conditioning the Facility(ies) for use by the Benefitting Party, including field preparation and striping, as well as the regular cleaning of gym floors, restrooms, and associated Facilities; and ensuring that the Facilities are closed and secured at the close of each day's activities. (Note that the Owning Party is not responsible for marking or striping artificial turf fields. The Benefitting Party should not modify or mark-up existing fields and courts without the express written authority of the Owning Party.) All such Standard Facility Services will be provided by the Owning Party at no cost to the Benefiting Party. The Benefiting Party will not be provided with keys to Owning Party Facilities. Thus, Benefiting Party must coordinate Standard Facility Services with the Owning Party. The Benefitting Party will work with the Owning Party in good faith to consider and employ processes that can limit the Owning Party’s administrative costs associated with opening and closing activities. Nothing in this Agreement prevents the Benefitting Party from contractually engaging the Owning Party’s employees to provide special temporary services not otherwise provided for by Standard Facility Services as defined in this Agreement during the Benefitting Party’s use of the Owning Party’s Facilities. Special arrangements for services in connection with the use of Facilities listed in this Agreement that may be charged by the Owning Party to the Benefitting Party must be agreed to in writing and signed by a legally authorized representative of the Benefitting Party.

Staffing and Security. The City shall provide program supervision, instructional staff, and security associated with its events and usage that it deems sufficient during its use of the Facility. The City will have a City employee on site at all times when any of its athletic or recreational programs are in session. The City employee will coordinate with Board staff to ensure that the buildings at the Facility are securely locked after City use. The City shall submit to the Board a security plan for its use of the Facility. Garden City may schedule SCCPSS Campus police assistance through the established work flow agreements between the police departments. The Board shall grant the City with key access to the Facility, but access will be limited to the areas shown on Exhibit A. The City is responsible for any costs associated with the lost or unauthorized copying of a key by any of its employees or agents.

Guests who appear intoxicated and do not cooperate with staff will be escorted from the facility. Unless the guest is with another person who is not intoxicated and is able to drive, staff will make sure the guest leaves in a taxi or will contact security who will contact the local police department for resolution. All employees involved in the sale, service and/or supervision of alcoholic beverages will be required to attend Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) and obtain the appropriate permit for their level of service. In accordance with WAC 000-00-000, on all portions of the premises where alcohol is sold, served or consumed, sufficient lighting will be maintained so that ID can be checked and patrons observed for the enforcement of liquor laws and rules.
