Standby Duty and Pay. For the purposes of this Letter of Understanding, standby duty means that the Auxiliary Victim Support Workers are designated by the supervisor for a specified time period to be available on-call by phone and within twenty (20) minutes travel time of the main Langley RCMP Detachment, to attend a scene and carry out victim services. The specific standby duty hours shall be posted a minimum of one month in advance as will the Auxiliary Victim Support Workers standby schedule. Auxiliary Victim Support Workers on standby duty shall receive a standby premium of four dollars ($4.00) per hour. Auxiliary Victim Support Workers will not be entitled to Call out (Article 8.3) and Xxxxxxx Pay (Article 8.4) or as per the Letter of Understanding titled “Temporary Full-Time and Auxiliary Employees” in the Collective Agreement.

Standby Duty and Pay. For the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding, standby duty means that the auxiliary Victim Services Case Workers are designated by the Victim Services Coordinator for a specified time period to be available on-call by phone and to be available within 30 minutes travel time of the Delta Police Department, to attend a scene and carry out victim services. The specific standby duty hours shall be posted a minimum of one month in advance as will the auxiliary Victim Services Case Workers standby schedule. Auxiliary Victim Services Case Workers on standby duty shall receive: a) $1.50 per hour for standby (no callout)
Standby Duty and Pay. Members of the bargaining unit assigned to standby duty shall be required to respond to an emergency call-out during the period of assignment. Regular Marine Safety Full-Time Lifeguards, IT employees and employees in the Public Works Department assigned to standby shall receive two hours of pay per day for being placed on standby duty. However, if a second Regular Marine Safety Full-Time Lifeguard is placed on standby at the same time, that employee will receive one hour of pay per day. Wastewater Division personnel working a 7-day per week schedule will receive forty dollars ($40) per day ($50 on a scheduled City Holiday) for standby duty. Employees on standby who are required to return to work after being called shall promptly do so and be fit for duty and able to respond.
Standby Duty and Pay. A regular employee assigned to standby duty shall be required to respond to an emergency call-out during the period of assignment and shall receive special pay for such assignment as follows: Monday through Sunday - $40 daily rate The rate shall be increased to $50 if the stand by duty is on a scheduled City Holiday. The above standby pay rates shall apply based on the agreement of Sewer Division personnel working a 7-day per week operation schedule. If for any reason the 7-day per week operation schedule is suspended or terminated, then this section is null and void and former standby pay rates prevail.

  • Standby Duty (a) An employee shall be on standby duty when required to be available for work outside their normal working hours, and subject to restrictions consistent with the FLSA which would prevent the employee from using the time while on standby duty effectively for the employee’s own purposes. (b) Compensation for standby duty shall be at FLSA-eligible employee’s straight time rate of pay or for FLSA-exempt employees hour for hour compensatory time off. Overtime hours shall be at the appropriate overtime pay rate pursuant to Article 32.

  • Standby Pay Standby pay shall be at the rate of four ($4.00) dollars per hour. An additional two dollars ($2) per hour will be paid for all hours of standby assigned by the Employer beyond seventy-five (75) hours in a pay period. Standby pay shall be paid for actual hours on standby prior to reporting for duty. Standby pay shall not be paid when the nurse is receiving the four (4) hour minimum callback guarantee, even though the nurse has returned to standby status.

  • Extra Duty Pay Reimbursement for activities such as gate-keeping, score book, etc.

  • Duty Day Duty Day shall mean a day included in the university calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in this Agreement.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Standby Time All standby time shall be considered as regular hours worked and shall be compensated on a straight time or overtime basis as are other hours worked under this Agreement.

  • Standby Provisions (a) Employees required to be on standby will be paid one dollar per hour, or portion thereof. (b) The minimum standby requirement will be four consecutive hours. (c) Should the Employer require an employee to have a pager, beeper, or a cellular phone available during their standby period, then all related expenses for such device will be the responsibility of the Employer.

  • No Fiduciary Duty, etc Each Borrower acknowledges and agrees, and acknowledges its Subsidiaries’ (if any) understanding, that no Credit Party will have any obligations except those obligations expressly set forth herein and in the other Loan Documents and each Credit Party is acting solely in the capacity of an arm’s length contractual counterparty to such Borrower with respect to the Loan Documents and the transactions contemplated herein and therein and not as a financial advisor or a fiduciary to, or an agent of, such Borrower or any other person. Each Borrower agrees that it will not assert any claim against any Credit Party based on an alleged breach of fiduciary duty by such Credit Party in connection with this Agreement and the transactions contemplated hereby. Additionally, each Borrower acknowledges and agrees that no Credit Party is advising such Borrower as to any legal, tax, investment, accounting, regulatory or any other matters in any jurisdiction. Each Borrower shall consult with its own advisors concerning such matters and shall be responsible for making its own independent investigation and appraisal of the transactions contemplated herein or in the other Loan Documents, and the Credit Parties shall have no responsibility or liability to such Borrower with respect thereto.

  • Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee. B. An employee who receives jury fees for jury service upon presentation of the appropriate court certificate of service, shall either: 1. Retain such jury fees in lieu of pay for the period of jury service if the jury fees exceed his/her regular rate of compensation for the period involved; or 2. Remit to the Appointing Authority the jury fees if less than his/her regular rate of compensation for the period involved. C. Jury fees for the purpose of this Article shall be the per diem rate paid for jury duty by the court not including the expenses reimbursed for travel, meals, rooms or incidentals. D. An employee summoned as a witness in court on behalf of the Commonwealth or any town, city or county of the Commonwealth or on behalf of the Federal Government shall be granted court leave with pay upon filing of the appropriate notice of service with his/her department head except that this Section shall not apply to an employee who is also in the employ of any town, city or county of the Commonwealth or in the employ of the Federal Government or any private employer and who is summoned on a matter arising from that employment. E. All fees for court service except jury fees paid for service rendered during office hours must be paid to the Commonwealth. Any fees paid to an employee for court service performed during a vacation period may be retained by the employee. The employee shall retain expenses for travel, meals, rooms, etc. F. An employee on court leave who has been excused by the proper court authority shall report to his/her official duty station if such interruption in court service will permit four or more consecutive hours of employment. Court leave shall not affect any employment rights of the individual. G. No court leave shall be granted when the employee is the defendant or is engaged in personal litigation.
