Statutory Holiday Work. The Employer shall post a notice requiring men to work in any of the classifications in the garage. The work shall be assigned strictly by seniority within each classification. On all statutory holidays, one (1) licensed mechanic and one (1) service line employee shall work on a a.m. to shift. Any one person will be eligible to apply for work on the to shift, providing said person normally works on the a.m. to shift. Any two (2) persons will be eligible to apply for work on the to shift providing said person works on the to shift, and any two (2) persons will be eligible to apply for work on the to a.m. shift, providing said person normally works on the to a.m. shift.
Statutory Holiday Work i) The Employer shall post a notice fourteen (14) days prior to the Statutory Holiday requiring men to work in any of the classifications in the maintenance department. The completed list shall be posted five (5) days in advance of the Statutory Holiday.

  • Statutory Holiday All time worked on such Statutory Holidays as are provided for in this Agreement shall be considered as overtime and shall be paid at two hundred percent (200%) of the employee's regular straight-time rate, or the employee may elect to be paid straight-time rates for the overtime hours and take an equal number of hours as time off.   • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • 000 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 18.100 The following days will constitute the recognized holidays within the terms of this agreement. Any other holiday proclaimed by either the Provincial or Federal Government will be automatically recognized within this Agreement.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.
