Statutory Sick Leave. Notwithstanding any conflicting language in this Article 18-SICK LEAVE to the contrary, the Employer will offer such paid sick leave benefits as may be required by applicable state or federal law or county/city ordinance to such employees as the Employer is legally required to provide such benefits. Such statutory paid sick leave benefits shall only apply to employees who are not eligible for Vacation and Sick Leave benefits under this Agreement.

Compensation to the employee for each of these one 28 hundred (100) days shall be at a rate of one-half (1/2) of the employee's daily 29 rate. An employee shall not be provided more than one (1) five (5) month 30 period per illness or accident.   • Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Pregnancy Sick Leave Leave for illness of a Nurse arising out of or associated with a Nurse’s pregnancy prior to the commencement of, or the ending of, pregnancy leave granted in accordance with Article 13.00, may be granted sick leave in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Sick Leave Policy It is the policy of the State of Ohio to not unreasonably deny sick leave to employees when requested. It is also the policy of the State to take corrective action for unauthorized use of sick leave and/or abuse of sick leave. It is further the policy of the State that when corrective and/or disciplinary action is taken, it will be applied progressively and consistently. It is the desire of the State of Ohio that when discipline is applied it will serve the purpose of correcting the performance of the employee.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Sick Leave Cash Out Eligible employees may elect to receive monetary compensation for accrued sick leave as follows: In January of each year an employee whose sick leave balance at the end of the previous year exceeds four hundred eighty (480) hours may elect to convert the sick leave hours earned in the previous calendar year, minus those hours used during the year, to monetary compensation. No sick leave hours may be converted which would reduce the calendar year end balance below four hundred eighty (480) hours. Monetary compensation shall be paid at the rate of twenty-five percent and shall be based on the employee’s current salary. All converted hours will be deducted from the sick leave balance. Employees who separate from University service due to retirement or death shall be compensated for the unused sick leave accumulation from the date of most recent hire in a leave eligible position with the State of Washington at the rate of 25%. Compensation shall be based upon the employee’s wage at the time of separation. For the purpose of this section, retirement shall not include vested out of service employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system. Former eligible employees who are re-employed within three (3) years of their separation from service shall be granted all unused sick leave credits, if any, to which they are entitled at time of separation.

  • Annual Sick Leave All full-time employees (i.e. hours per week) shall be entitled to twenty (20) days of sick leave per year. An employee joining the Board staff during the year shall be given current sick leave credits on the basis of days for each months' employment. The sick leave entitlement for part-time employees shall be according to time worked.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.
