Taking Vacation Leave Granted. 1. When a vacation is requested on a proper application by an Employee, it shall be granted and taken at such time or times as the department head may designate; provided, that it shall be as close to the requested period as conditions in the department will permit, and so as to prevent any forfeiture of vacation allowance.
