Teachers who. Commence Employment after the Commencement of the School Year (a) A teacher who commences employment after the usual date of commencement at the school in any school year, shall be paid from the date the teacher commences, provided that at the end of Term IV or final semester in that year, the teacher shall be paid an amount calculated pursuant to clause 22.3(b) and shall receive no salary or other payment other than payment under this clause until the School Service Date or the resumption of Term 1 or first semester in the following school year. However, the teacher may request the School to pay the amount so calculated, at the teacher's normal weekly rate of pay (or, in respect of the final payment, any balance outstanding) in instalments over the school summer vacation period, as part of the school's normal pay run, until the full amount has been paid. (b) In each succeeding year of employment, the anniversary of appointment of the teacher for the purpose of this clause shall be deemed to be the School Service Date.

Teachers who. (i) Were appointed to employment covered by this Agreement; and (ii) Were eligible to be appointed to Experienced 4; and (iii) Had complete a minimum of eleven (11) years’ service as a teacher; and (iv) Commence employment between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2019, will be classified as Experienced 5/Proficient 7 and will progress to Proficient 8 on 1 July 2019. Teachers who reside outside the Xxxxxxxx school district and who do not qualify for Schools of Choice, shall have the opportunity to enroll their children in regular education classes within the Xxxxxxxx Schools at one-half (1/2) of the then current student foundation rate.

  • Educator Plans General A) Educator Plans shall be designed to provide Educators with feedback for improvement, professional growth, and leadership; and to ensure Educator effectiveness and overall system accountability. The Plan must be aligned to the standards and indicators and be consistent with district and school goals. B) The Educator Plan shall include, but is not limited to: i) At least one goal related to improvement of practice tied to one or more Performance Standards; ii) At least one goal for the improvement the learning, growth and achievement of the students under the Educator’s responsibility; iii) An outline of actions the Educator must take to attain the goals and benchmarks to assess progress. Actions must include specified professional development and learning activities that the Educator will participate in as a means of obtaining the goals, as well as other support that may be suggested by the Evaluator or provided by the school or district. Examples may include but are not limited to coursework, self-study, action research, curriculum development, study groups with peers, and implementing new programs. C) It is the Educator’s responsibility to attain the goals in the Plan and to participate in any trainings and professional development provided through the state, district, or other providers in accordance with the Educator Plan.

  • HEALTH & WELFARE 16:1 The parties signatory hereto shall enter into a Health and Welfare Plan for which there is a Trust Agreement, known as the Line Construction Benefit Fund, for the purpose of providing insurance benefits for eligible employees and/or their dependents. Effective the first of the month following the signature date of this Agreement, the Employer shall pay to the Line Construction Benefit Fund the sum of $6.50 for each hour worked. Hours worked shall be deemed to include straight-time hours worked, overtime hours worked, and report time not worked. Remittance shall be forwarded to the place designated by the parties hereto on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of each month for each hour worked in weekly payroll periods ending during the preceding month, together with a monthly payroll report on a form to be furnished to the Employer. It is understood and intended by the parties to this Agreement that the purpose of this clause is to establish an Employer financed Health and Welfare Trust and that contributions thereto shall not be deemed to be wages to which any employee shall have any right other than the right to have such contributions paid over to the Trust fund in accordance herewith. Failure of an individual Employer to make all payments provided for, including liquidated damages for late payments, within the time specified, shall be a breach of this Agreement and will further require action by the Trustees as set forth in the Trust Agreement. Any increase in the required contributions set forth above will be paid equally (50% by the Employer and 50% by the Employee). The amount paid by the Employee will come from their NEAP contribution. 16:2 HRA: Effective the first of the month following the signature date of this Agreement, the Employer also agrees to pay into the Line Construction Benefit Fund $1.00 per hour through the term of this Agreement. HRA is calculated on all hours worked for all working classifications covered by this Agreement. These contributions shall be used to provide Health Reimbursements Accounts(s) under the Line Construction Benefit Fund Plan of Benefits.

  • Health Plans A. The health plans offered and benefits provided by those plans shall be those recommended by the JLMBC, approved by the City Council, and administered by the Personnel Department in accordance with LAAC Section 4.

  • Supervisory Employees ‌ For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria: a) Employees on Salary Schedule 01 who under Plan A "Nature of Supervision" have either Degree 3 (or higher) or its equivalent; b) Employees on Schedules 02 or 03 on condition they normally supervise other employees.

  • Access to Employees Staff representatives of the Union shall be allowed to visit work areas of employees during working hours and confer on conditions of employment to the extent that such visitations do not disrupt the work activities of the area being visited. Prior to entering the work area, the representative shall receive permission from the appropriate department head or his/her designee stating the reason(s) for such visitations. Permission shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Level Two - Superintendent If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his/her grievance at Level One, or if no decision is reached within six (6) school days after the grievance was referred to the building principal or immediate supervisor, then within ten (10) school days a written grievance shall be referred to the Superintendent. A decision shall be rendered by the Superintendent within ten (10) school days after its presentation.
