Teaching Supplies. No teacher shall be required to furnish school supplies at his/her own expense.
Teaching Supplies. Teachers shall be provided with the supplies, furniture and equipment necessary to teach with and sufficient workroom space in which to prepare. Any alleged violation shall be subject to the grievance procedure through the Board level.
Teaching Supplies. Members of the bargaining unit shall not be required to furnish supplies at their own expense. In addition, the employee shall not be required to furnish materials for the implementation of District or school instructional mandates. When equipment is purchased in quantity for classroom use by the District, i.e., audiovisual equipment, computers, etc., members of the bargaining unit will be included in evaluating and/or writing specifications, in order to insure that such equipment meets the needs of the classroom. When purchasing a specific item of equipment for a specific classroom, the member of the bargaining unit whose responsibility it is to use the equipment shall provide input into the selection of the equipment prior to its purchase.
Teaching Supplies. The Board shall provide equipment and supplies for every class so as to maintain a high level of instruction for the children of Xxxx.
A. Purchase orders for supplies and equipment ordered by the teachers for the current school year shall be issued by the Board within twenty (20) calendar days from the date of submission of a requisition to the principal, except for those items that are placed out for bid.
B. Delays in shipping and the placing of an item for bid shall be reported to the teacher by the building principal as soon as he/she becomes aware of delay. Supplies and equipment ordered by a teacher for the ensuing school year shall be in the classroom September first, unless a delay occurs and in that event, the teacher shall be so notified by the building principal on the teachers' first work day.
Teaching Supplies. Each classroom teacher starting July of each fiscal year will have at least $100.00 (one- hundred dollars) available to them, if the budget allows, for classroom supplies. New teachers will have $100 starting July of each fiscal year available to them for classroom supplies. However, all requests must be cleared and approved as essential by the building principals. NOTE: This provision does not apply to those teachers whose approved and furnished want lists for the current school year have already exceeded the $100.00 maximum.

It is the Employer’s responsibility to provide teachers with the required materials to properly implement the district curriculum. Teachers are not to be penalized on their evaluation for not implementing activities where materials needed are not provided by the Employer. Teaching Supplies. At the end of each school year each teacher shall turn in the following requisitions:
A. One requisition listing all academic needs including textbooks, workbooks, resource books, equipment, furniture, and replacements for consumable student materials.
B. One requisition listing, in priority order, classroom supplies needed to enhance student learning and classroom teaching.
C. Board will determine what to purchase on priority basis.
