Temporary Promotions to Training Instructor. The Company may, from time to time, promote bargaining unit employees to the non-bargaining unit of Training Instructor. Such assignments may be for a minimum of one day and a maximum of six months. Bargaining unit employees promoted under this provision will remain in the bargaining unit and continue to accrue Local 1600 and job seniority and pay Union dues. Selection will be on a voluntary basis by job classification seniority when fitness and ability among volunteers are substantially equal. Management reserves the right to specify the criteria to be used in selecting individuals for this assignment. If there are no volunteers management may use other methods to fill the position. Employees temporarily promoted under this provision shall receive a premium of 15% above their current rate of pay. It shall not be considered a promotion for any employee to assist an Instructor or perform OJT/TPE. This provision does not apply to any employee where classroom training is considered part of the job description or SSES Operations Employees which are covered in Section 2 below. An employee on temporary assignment to Training Instructor shall not be eligible for call-out/overtime unless the call-out/overtime roster is exhausted and additional personnel are needed.

  • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • Training Assistance (a) Employees shall be reimbursed for one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition for job-related courses approved by the Employer.

  • Use of Training Units and Consulting Units Training Units and Consulting Units: (a) are non-refundable, (b) are non-transferable, (c) may not be redeemed for cash or credit, (d) must be used as whole credits, (e) cannot be combined with any other discount, special offer or coupon and (f) can be redeemed only in the same geographic region and currency as purchased. United States Government end users (or resellers acting on behalf of the United States Government) may not purchase Training Units or Consulting Units.

  • Instructors 7.1 All instructors teaching Xxxxxx College courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement must meet the minimum qualifications for instruction in a California community college as set forth in Title 5 California Code of Regulations, Sections 53410 and 58060 or as amended, and be hired by the CLPCCD.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
