The E.S. S. will provide the Board with a copy of the motion(s) passed at a general meeting of the District and/or the E.S.S. membership authorizing the Board to deduct from the payroll of all employees such amounts as are authorized and the Board will forward such deductions to the Treasurer of the District not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of each month following.
The E.S. S. recognizes the right of the Board to authorize any advisory agent, counsel, solicitor or duly authorized representative to assist, advise or represent them in all matters pertaining to the negotiation and administration of this Collective Agreement.
The E.S. S. may bring forward to the Human Resources Officer or designate health and safety concerns related to the E.S.S. employees.
The E.S. S. shall have access to its members for union business at all locations provided that this does not interrupt the program.
The E.S. S. may use the inter-office (courier) mail service, telephone, fax machine and e-mail for the purpose of communicating with its members.
The E.S. S. recognizes the Board's right to transfer employees within the same occupational classification to meet the needs of the system. Whenever possible, the Board shall consult with the employee and the
The E.S may, after informing the Contractor, recover amounts established as certain, of a fixed amount and due by offsetting, in cases where the Contractor also has a claim on the IOC that is certain, of a fixed amount and due. The E.S. xxx also claim against the guarantee, where provided for.
The E.S or an outside body of its choice shall have the same rights as the IOC for the purpose of checks and audits limited to compliance with contractual obligations from signature of the Contract up to five years after payment of the balance.
The E.S. S. shall have the right to post notices of interest to its members in a mutually agreed upon area in each work location provided such notices pertain only to union/social activities, results of elections and union meetings. Any other material the E.S.S. wishes to post must be discussed at a Labour Management Committee. If time does not permit such discussion, the E.S.S. President shall bring the request to the Manager of Human Resources.
(a) When a Tentative Agreement is reached between the parties and for the purpose of ratification, the Board will supply the E.
The E.S. S. may bring forward to the Human Resources Officer or designate health and safety concerns related to the E.S.S. employees. Prior to concerns being brought forward to Human Resources, concerns should be reported to the Principal or Supervisor, in accordance with the Internal Responsibility System.
(a) For those employees appointed by the Union for the purpose of fulfilling the duties of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the E.S.S. employee is entitled to a replacement for up to half a day for each quarterly meeting of the Joint Health and Safety Committee including preparation time for the meeting.
(b) The Board shall provide a T.S.S. to cover for up to a full day while the E.S.S. Health and Safety representative completes the required inspection of a work site each month during the school year.
(c) If needed, the E.S.S. representative can request additional time to ensure a completed monthly inspection. This request is subject to Principal approval.
