UNIFORM CLOTHING ISSUE. 35.01 Where an employee's work is of a nature where health and cleanliness must be maintained or where special identification will aid in the effective performance of duties and in meeting particular program objectives, the Housing Association will provide the items specified in this Article.
(1) The Employer will pay each Maintenance employee the following annually:
(a) to a maximum of two hundred dollars ($200) for safety boots;
(b) to a maximum of four hundred dollars ($400) for adequate winter clothing.
(2) The employees will be required to wear the above-mentioned Articles and keep them in a state of good repair.
(3) Each Maintenance employee will be required to present to the Employer, within one (1) month of purchase, a receipt showing proof of purchase. In the event that a Maintenance employee does not comply with this Article within one (1) month the Employer may recover the allowances paid for this purpose from the Maintenance employee's earnings.
35.03 The Employer will provide summer coveralls as required (or bib overalls if requested by the employee) as required.
35.04 This Article shall apply to probationary employees for Health and Safety reasons only.
UNIFORM CLOTHING ISSUE.
30.01 The Employer will reimburse all maintenance personnel a maximum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) once every fiscal year for the purchase of protective work clothing upon proof of purchase.
30.02 Once per fiscal year, the Employer shall reimburse up to two hundred dollars ($200) towards the cost of safety footwear for employees whose jobs require the wearing of safety footwear. The employee must produce a receipt of the purchase to be eligible for reimbursement.
UNIFORM CLOTHING ISSUE. 47.01 Where an employee's work is of a nature where health and cleanliness must be maintained, or where special identification will aid in the effective performance of duties and in meeting particular program objectives, the Employer shall provide uniform clothing free of charge to employees.
47.02 Uniform clothing issue is defined as items of wearing apparel generally consisting of:
(a) outer clothing for work on duty indoors or outdoors;
(b) safety footwear;
(c) gloves, shirts and pants.
47.03 The Employer shall provide each Public Works employee with one (1) pair of summer and one (1) pair of winter safety footwear appropriate for the environmental conditions.
47.04 The Employer shall provide:
(a) each Public Works employee with one (1) pair of summer coveralls and one
(1) pair of winter coveralls or with one (1) pair of bib-overalls and one (1) jacket whichever the employee may choose, to be replaced annually.
(b) each Janitor with two (2) pairs of scrubs, to be replaced annually. The Employer shall replace these items more frequently when presented for replacement by the employee.
47.05 The Employer shall provide each Public Works employee with summer leather or rubber work gloves, and insulated leather or rubber work gloves for cold weather.
47.06 The Employer shall provide each Recreation employee with insulated rubber work gloves for cold weather, and one (1) pair of summer and one (1) pair of winter safety footwear appropriate for the environmental conditions.
47.07 The Employer shall provide the Bylaw Officer with one (1) law enforcement uniform, one (1) winter jacket, one (1) summer jacket, one (1) pair of slash-proof gloves, one (1) pair of combat boots, identifying headgear, and one (1) bullet-proof vest. Article 47.11 does not apply to the Bylaw officer position.
