Union Member Time-off. 3.1.1 For all transfers, union mem ber time-off will be negotiated at the Ministry Em ployee Relations Committee (M.E.R.C) for the purpose of advising employees of their entitlements and to work with the employer to resolve workplace issues.

Union Member Time-off. The Union's Stewards shall be allowed time off with pay to investigate and present issues/grievances as necessary to fulfill their duty of fair representation. Whenever possible, such time shall be scheduled in advance with the Xxxxxxx’x Supervisor to minimize the impact on business operations. The Parties shall meet with the Union Stewards and Management representatives after the ratification of this Agreement to provide joint training on all modifications of this Agreement. Upon written request from the Union, members shall be given short-term leaves of absence to transact Union business and be paid by the Union. An employee covered by this Agreement who is elected, appointed or hired to an office in the Union requiring a long-term leave of absence from the Company, shall, upon two (2) weeks’ written notice, be granted a voluntary leave of absence without pay not to exceed two (2) years.

  • Union Membership Every employee who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment, and every new employee whose employment commences hereafter shall, within thirty (30) days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union, as a condition of employment, provided that any employee in the appropriate bargaining unit, who is not required to maintain membership or apply for and maintain membership in the Union, shall, as a condition of employment, tender to the Union the periodic dues uniformly required to be paid by the members of the Union.

  • Union Membership Requirement 5.01 All members of the Union shall remain members of the Union in accordance with the Constitution and/or By-Laws of the Union. All new employees shall, as a condition of continued employment, become and remain members in good standing in the Union within thirty (30) days of employment.

  • UNION MEMBERSHIP AND CHECK-OFF 5.01 Neither the Employer nor the Union will compel employees to join the Union. The Employer will not discriminate against any employee because of Union membership or lack of it, and will inform all new employees of the contractual relationship between the Employer and the Union.   • UNION MEMBERSHIP AND DUES CHECK-OFF 7.01 All Employees covered by this Agreement shall become members of the Union as a condition of employment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Employees currently employed by the Board, who have previously opted out of membership in the Union, shall not be compelled to join.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
