Use of College Equipment and Facilities. Faculty members are authorized to use college equipment and facilities as specified under SJR College Procedures 3.24 and 4.12. The use of College vehicles is available for College-related business only. Only Faculty members on the designated bargaining team may use a College vehicle or request mileage reimbursement when attending official bargaining meetings. Such use of college vehicles or mileage reimbursements must be requested in advance and is subject to budgetary availability. Use of tobacco products or electronic cigarettes is prohibited in College vehicles, in College facilities and on College property.

Use of College Equipment and Facilities. The Association shall have the right to use College facilities and office equipment when such equipment is not in use for College operations. The Association will reimburse the College for consumable supplies used for Association business, at cost. The Association will be permitted to use the College communication systems for appropriate Association business.
Use of College Equipment and Facilities. Use of College equipment and facilities shall occur in full compliance with ORS 244.040(1)(a) which states, in part, that no College employee shall use or attempt to use their position at the College to obtain financial gain or avoid financial detriment that would not otherwise be available but for their position at the College. Expressly excepted from this prohibition are the salary and benefits provided in this agreement and reimbursement of expenses, honoraria and unsolicited awards for professional achievement. The College will not impose conditions on employee use of college equipment and facilities beyond that required by State law. If State law changes, the College and Association will meet to bargain this Section.

In order to utilize this benefit, faculty members seeking to use College equipment for professional development that may result in substantial personal financial benefit or the avoidance of substantial personal financial loss (example: in excess of $50.00 per calendar year) must have written permission from the Department Manager in advance.
Use of College Equipment and Facilities. 3.3.1: Union Notification Boards The Union shall be provided with a physical space and digital space to post notices and other materials related to Union activities. All spaces will be agreed upon by the College and the Union. These spaces shall be labeled for Union use and only the Union Executive Board shall have authority to post materials in these spaces in accordance with College non-solicitation policies and procedures (See Board Policy 09.01.00, Use of Facilities and Institutional Procedure 09.01.00.00, Use of College Facilities). All notices and materials must be signed or initialed by the Union Co-Presidents. The Union agrees to limit postings on these bulletin boards to the following Union notices: • Recreational and social affairs of the Union meetings • Union elections • Results of Union elections • Rulings or policies of the Local 604, if applicable • Any other material authorized by the College’s Chief Human Resources Officer
