Use of College Facilities. 23.01 Employees have the right to use the following College facilities:
Use of College Facilities. The Union is granted the use of College facilities, (for example, bulletin boards, meeting rooms, mail boxes), as are necessary for conducting its official business (for example, communication with its members, meetings of its membership and committees). The use is granted, provided that it does not interfere with normal operations of the College and subject to the College's internal assignment of space and bulletin board procedures. The Union agrees that any and all materials posted shall refer only to the professional business of the Union, and further agrees not to post election campaign material for or against any person, organization or faction thereof.
Use of College Facilities. The Union and its members shall have the right to use College facilities for YVC classified employee meetings in accordance with standard scheduling and policies of the College.
Use of College Facilities. The Association and its representatives shall have the right of access to College buildings for the purpose of Association business providing there is no interference with the regular program or college closure. The usual facility reservation procedure will be followed and no charge will be assessed the Association as long as no extraordinary costs are incurred by the College.
Use of College Facilities. A. The Union shall have the right to hold its membership meetings on College property provided such meeting will in no way interfere with any aspect of the instructional or administrative program, that such meeting entails no additional maintenance or custodial expense, and that the facilities are available. When such meeting entails additional maintenance or custodial expenses, the Board may make a reasonable charge therefore. The Union shall contact the Vice President of Administrative Affairs or designee regarding the availability of the desired College facility and make advance reservations for such prior to scheduling any meeting which is to be held on College property. This paragraph shall be inapplicable to any meeting of more than twelve (12) persons where less than ninety percent (90%) of those attending are employees of the College.
B. Appropriate representatives of the Union shall have access at reasonable times to the College facilities and equipment without cost, including computers, copying equipment, fax machines, and other miscellaneous equipment. Use of equipment and consumables shall be subject to the approval of the Vice President of Administrative Affairs or designee. The Union shall reimburse the Board for any consumables and for the cost of repair due to negligent operation of such equipment occasioned by the use thereof by the Union. The use of such equipment shall be on site, shall not interfere with the instructional or administrative program of the College, and shall be subject to reasonable regulation as shall be prescribed by the Vice President of Administrative Affairs or designee.
C. The Union shall have the right to place notices on bulletin boards designated for faculty use and in faculty members' mailboxes. All bulletin board notices shall be signed or initialed by an authorized Union representative. A copy of any item placed in faculty mailboxes shall be concurrently furnished to the President of the College or designee, except this requirement shall not be applicable to any material which shall be individually addressed to a specific faculty member(s).
D. The Board shall provide the Union with an office for use by the Union for legitimate Union business. The office shall be equipped with a desk, desk chair, filing cabinet and bookcase, provided that thereby the Board shall incur no responsibility or liability of whatsoever nature for such desk, cabinet and bookcase. Use of College Facilities. The Association and its representatives shall have the right, without charge, to use College facilities for meetings and shall be provided office space on the main campus. College facilities shall be scheduled in advance through normal College procedures when they are required for meetings.
Use of College Facilities. 1. The Association shall be permitted to use College facilities, for purposes of transacting official Association business for the bargaining unit (but not for strike or picketing purposes), provided that such meetings do not interfere with the normal hours and operation of the College or the performance of duties by any employees. In consideration for the use of facilities, the Association agrees to save the College harmless from and against all loss, liability, damage or injury to person or property by reason of the actions of bargaining unit members (including reasonable defense costs and attorneys’ fees, unless the College agrees to have the Association take over the defense of any such injury or damage claim).
2. The College shall provide the Association with a filing cabinet with a lock.
Use of College Facilities. 15.1 College facilities shall be made available to the appropriate Department members for college-related educational purposes.
15.2 Subject to operational requirements, College facilities shall be made available to the Faculty Association free of charge for its meetings.
15.3 The College shall provide subsidized membership in the Sport and Wellness Centre for all Association members and their immediate families. The College will consult the Association in establishing or amending any policy or procedures with regard to Employee access to the facilities and rates set for their membership in the Sport and Wellness Centre.
15.4 Each Faculty member and members of his/her immediate family, shall be entitled to one course, in each semester, tuition free. Enrolment is conditional on:
(a) the course having sufficient enrolment to run without this entitlement, and
(b) students other than those referred to in this Clause shall have priority in regard to enrolment, and
(c) the entitlement applies to group instruction only, and
(d) the entitlement may be applied on a pro-rata basis to a full-time program of study. For the purpose of this Article, immediate family includes and is limited to spouse (including common-law spouse resident with the faculty member) and dependant children, stepchildren or wards of the faculty member permanently residing in the household of the faculty member or his/her spouse.
Use of College Facilities.
A. Faculty members shall be entitled to use College facilities and equipment in the normal performance of their duties, subject to availability.
B. The Association Executive Committee shall be entitled to receive reasonable personnel support for its official business. The Association shall pay the direct cost of materials, supplies, and personnel time consumed in carrying on its official business.
Use of College Facilities. The Association and its members shall have the right to use the Grand Rapids Community College's building facilities at no charge at reasonable times and hours for meetings when such buildings are available and operations staff are on duty. The Association shall be allowed to use the interschool mail, email service of the College, and may post Association notices on a bulletin board designated for such purposes consistent with College policy.
