Use of Other Paid Leave. In the event an employee who is entitled to injury leave uses up all his injury leave time and is still unable to return to active duty, he may, with the approval of the Safety Director or designee, use any unused sick leave, compensatory, personal leave, and vacation time to which he is otherwise entitled. While on injury leave, the employee shall not engage in any activities inconsistent with any restrictions which gave rise to the injury leave and prevent the employee from working.

Use of Other Paid Leave. Employees may use accrued vacation, sick and personal leave during any otherwise unpaid portion of parental leave. However, employees may not use vacation, sick and personal leave to extend the maximum paid and unpaid leave periods (over a twelve (12) month period) as provided in this Article.
Use of Other Paid Leave. An employee may elect or the District may require the substitution of an employee’s accrued vacation or other accrued paid leave, other than sick leave, for any part of the employee’s family care and medical leave. An employee may elect or the District may require the substitution of accrued sick leave only under circumstances permitted by the District policy and/or the collective bargaining agreement for the substituted leave.

  • Use of Other Leave (a) An employee may elect to use annual or long service leave credits for some or all of their absence on Defence service, in which case they will be treated in all respects as if on normal paid leave.

  • Abuse of Sick Leave Misuse of leave, violation of orders, directives, or contractual requirements concerning the use of sick leave and other forms of leave used in lieu of sick leave are cause for disciplinary action.

  • Use of Annual Leave The Employer may, upon request of a practitioner and with sufficient cause being shown, which may in the circumstances be with little notice, grant that practitioner single days of annual leave for pressing personal emergencies.

  • Personal Illness and Injury Leave 1. Full-time employees shall be entitled to ten (10) days leave with full-time pay for each school year for purposes of personal illness or injury. Employees who work less than full-time shall be entitled to that portion of the ten (10) days leave as the number of hours per week of scheduled duty relates to the number of hours for a full-time employee in a comparable position.
