Use of Sick Leave for Pregnancy. If the reason for the leave is occasioned by pregnancy, an employee may utilize sick leave pursuant to the sick leave provisions of this Article during a period of physical disability. A pregnant employee will also provide at the time of the leave application, a statement from her licensed physician indicating the expected date of delivery.

A pregnant teacher will also provide at the time of the leave application, a statement from their licensed physician indicating the expected date of delivery (See Section 1 Subd. 5a of this Article for use of sick leave by a teacher (other than the mother) in connection with the birth of their child).
Use of Sick Leave for Pregnancy. If the reason for the leave is occasioned by pregnancy, a Licensed Coordinator may utilize sick leave pursuant to the sick leave provisions of this Article during a period of physical disability. A pregnant Licensed Coordinator will also provide at the time of the leave application, a statement from a licensed medical provider indicating the expected date of delivery.
Use of Sick Leave for Pregnancy. A. A member of the bargaining unit (female or male) may use available sick leave during the six (6) calendar weeks immediately following the birth of the member’s child. If the mother is unable to perform her duties and responsibilities and wishes to use additional sick leave beyond this six (6) week period because of a longer pregnancy-related disability, the Superintendent may require a physician’s certification of the mother’s inability to work because of such disability.
