Vacation Advances. Vacation may not be taken in advance except under extenuating circumstances, in which case the appropriate Executive Administrator or designee may authorize said request.
Vacation Advances. Employees may request a payroll advance equivalent to the amount of the employee's regular pay during the vacation period. To obtain such an advance, the employee must provide a minimum of fourteen (14) days advance written notice of the request to the payroll administrator.

However, 9, 10, 11 month employees who are refused vacation due to departmental needs shall be allowed to treat the necessary amount of their unpaid time as vacation time rather than lose vacation that cannot be carried over because of limits on carryover.

However, employees may occasionally be permitted to take vacation days before they have accrued them, within six months of accrual and subject to the discretion and advance approval of EBASE. Employees requesting a vacation advance should submit a vacation advance request in writing to EBASE 60 days prior to the vacation commences.

On written request to the Administrator, at least four (4) weeks prior to the starting date of an employee's vacation period, the advance vacation pay may be obtained on a separate cheque, at least one (1) week prior to the start of said vacation.
