Vacation Advance. Employees who want their vacation pay in advance must notify their department heads in writing four (4) weeks before the commencement of their vacation.
Vacation Advance. An Employee who has been employed by the Employer for five (5) years or more and has used all their vacation credits may be granted, if operational requirements permit, an advance of five (5) days vacation from their entitlement for the following year.
Vacation Advance. Employees shall receive on the last office day preceding commencement of their annual vacation any cheques which may fall due during the period of their vacation, providing the Payroll Department has been advised in writing 14 calendar days in advance.
Vacation Advance. An employee wishing to take more vacation than he/she has earned within the first twelve (12) months of their employment may be granted such unearned vacation as a vacation advance at the sole discretion of their Manager.
Vacation Advance. Upon twenty one (21) days' written notice, a regular employee shall be entitled to receive, prior to commencement of a vacation, a payroll advance equivalent to the amount of her regular paycheque issued during the vacation period.

Vacation Advance. In exceptional circumstances, an Employee may request up to one (1) week’s vacation from the following year’s vacation entitlement. The Employer will only approve such request, subject to operational requirements and provided it does not result in increased costs to the Employer. Such vacation shall be immediately deducted from the Employee’s accruing entitlement.
Vacation Advance i) A salaried employee who will be absent from work on vacation leave on payday shall be entitled to receive an advance from the Minister of Finance equivalent to the net pay which will be due him on the payday occurring during his absence, provided that not less that thirty (30) days before the day on which payment is to be made, the employee requests the Administrative Head in writing that he receive an advance pursuant to this clause. Each employee shall receive only one
(1) advance for vacation purpose in each vacation year.
ii) An employee who has made at least two (2) years contributions to the Public Service Superannuation Plan and who will be absent from work on vacation leave on payday shall be entitled to receive an advance from the Minister of Finance equivalent to the sum of the net pay which will be due him on the payday occurring during his absence and the first payday occurring after his return, provided that the employee requests the Administrative Head in writing, not less than thirty (30) days before the day on which payment is to be made that he receive an advance pursuant to this clause. Each employee shall receive only one (1) advance for vacation purposes in each vacation year.
iii) Payment of such advance will be made on the morning of the workday preceding the day the employee leaves on his vacation.

Vacation Advance. On the last scheduled workday before going on an authorized and approved vacation, an employee will be entitled to a check in the amount of the annual leave being taken for vacation, provided the employee has made a written request to County’s Human Resources Director no less than three (3) calendar weeks prior to the anticipated delivery of any such advance.
