Vacation Requests and Usage. All vacations must be approved by the supervisor. 19 Vacations may be scheduled throughout the year for all employees and shall conform as closely as 20 possible to the vacation desired by the employees, taking into account the needs of the District, 21 including but not limited to, crew size and the proximity to the opening of school. Vacations may be 22 split to provide time off at Winter and Spring Breaks. Approved vacation schedules will not be 23 changed by the District unless it has received the employee's approval, or an emergency arises.

Vacation Requests and Usage. (a) Vacation may be taken by employees entitled thereto subject to the approval of their supervisor which will not be unreasonably withheld. Request for vacation in Workday shall be completed by the employee and submitted to the supervisor at least one (1) week prior to the requested commencing date, if the leave is to extend to one (1) week or more. The Supervisor or Designee shall respond in writing to the request within three (3) working days. Except in cases of emergency, request for leave of less than one (1) week is to be submitted one
