Vacation Scheduling and Vacation Pay. Vacation time earned up to July 1st as indicated in Article 10.07 shall be granted as follows: Sixty per cent (60%) of the Employees shall be scheduled and granted vacations during the months of June, July, August and September. Forty per cent (40%) of the Employees shall be scheduled and granted vacations during the remainder of the year. The pay for an annual vacation to which an Employee is entitled shall be paid in one payment to the Employee at least one day before the beginning of the Employee’s annual vacation. The Employer shall provide to all staff their vacation entitlement for the year by January 31st of each year. All Employees must notify the Employer in writing on the form provided prior to March 1st of each year with their choice of vacation periods, indicating first, second, third and fourth choices. The Employer shall notify Employees of vacations that are approved by April 30th.

Vacation Scheduling and Vacation Pay. At least two (2) weeks' annual vacation must be scheduled for an employee even if he is on sick leave. Subject to Article 17:04, all vacation entitlement must be taken (either as vacation or top up) during an employee's anniversary year. An employee shall not be entitled to receive vacation pay in lump sum without taking the corresponding time off as vacation. An employee on vacation shall not be entitled to receive short- or long-term disability benefits in addition to vacation pay.

Vacation requests received after March 1 will be confirmed or denied, in writing, within two (2) weeks of receipt of same. If an employee is given in-patient treatment in a hospital during one (1) or more full days of the employee's vacation, those days may, at the request of the employee, be rescheduled during the vacation year, at a time convenient to the College.

  • SECTION 4 - VACATION 4.1 Employee shall be entitled to accrue and take vacation leave in accordance with the policy applicable to employees of Manitoba.

  • Part-time Vacation Pay If the Employer currently has the computer systems’ capability to implement bi- weekly vacation pay, they shall do so by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. Those Employers with no computer capability will endeavour to implement bi- weekly vacation pay if there is no significant administrative burden, by the start of the next vacation year or earlier. If the Employer does not so implement, it will provide reasons in writing to the Union. Where possible without extensive programming changes, the amount of vacation pay will be separately identified on the pay stub.
