Value Engineering Studies. A. Participate in Value Engineering reviews at the level appropriate for the projects at the completion of the first draft of the Final Design Phase documents (approximately 60% completion) to assist in identifying ways to improve value to the owner or reduce the cost for the project. Provide cost estimates to quantify potential cost savings to reduce the overall cost for the Project. B. Assist OA in conducting a workshop to identify potential changes which could reduce the cost of the Project or increase the value of the Project by more than the cost of the changes. Present selected alternatives for more detailed evaluation. The detailed evaluation will consider cost, ability to implement the changes, technical analysis, and the impact of changes on the Project. Ideas that pass the technical and economic analysis, and merit incorporation into the design of the project, will be presented, in a draft report, as a proposal to the OPT for consideration. Incorporate responses of the OPT in the final report. C. Review and comment on deliverables which include draft and final value engineering recommendation reports.
