Volunteer Emergency Services. (i) The University will grant paid leave to a Staff Member to assist in emergencies services and disasters, or related training, provided that the Staff Member is not required by the University for essential operations or emergency services. (ii) The Staff Member is responsible for advising the University as soon as possible of call-in to emergency or disaster support. (iii) The organisation where the Staff Member is volunteering must certify that the Staff Member was required for the specified period.

Staff serving on a part-time basis in the Australian Reserve Forces are entitled to paid leave to attend Defence Forces training, in accordance with Federal Government Provisions. The period of leave granted is subject to Reserve Force documentary evidence provided by the Staff Member to the University. Staff will receive 3 days paid leave between 26 December and 1 January. A Staff Member who is required to work on a public holiday or on the University Concessional Days will be paid or take alternative days off.

It is understood that no employee(s) shall leave his/ her work station unattended and without permission from the immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. Employee(s) shall provide the Employer written notice from the Chief or his designee that their services were required. The employee(s) who participate in voluntary emergency services will also distinguish between the severities of the emergency in accordance with the work being performed at that time.

  • Emergency Service Leave Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from Provincial Emergency Programs or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay.   • Developer Compensation for Emergency Services If, during an Emergency State, the Developer provides services at the request or direction of the NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner, the Developer will be compensated for such services in accordance with the NYISO Services Tariff.

  • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls. In accordance with paragraph 13.2, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (financial or otherwise) where you fail to do so.

  • Pharmacy Services The Contractor shall establish a network of pharmacies. The Contractor or its PBM must provide at least two (2) pharmacy providers within thirty (30) miles or thirty (30) minutes from a member’s residence in each county, as well as at least two (2) durable medical equipment providers in each county or contiguous county.

  • Emergency Room Services This plan covers services received in a hospital emergency room when needed to stabilize or initiate treatment in an emergency. If your condition needs immediate or urgent, but non-emergency care, contact your PCP or use an urgent care center. This plan covers bandages, crutches, canes, collars, and other supplies incidental to your treatment in the emergency room as part of our allowance for the emergency room services. Additional services provided in the emergency room such as radiology or physician consultations are covered separately from emergency room services and may require additional copayments. The amount you pay is based on the type of service being rendered. Follow-up care services, such as suture removal, fracture care or wound care, received at the emergency room will require an additional emergency room copayment. Follow- up care services can be obtained from your primary care provider or a specialist. See Dental Services in Section 3 for information regarding emergency dental care services.

  • Disaster Services In the event of a local, state, or federal emergency, including natural, man-made, criminal, terrorist, and/or bioterrorism events, declared as a state disaster by the Governor, or a federal disaster declared by the appropriate federal official, Grantee may be called upon to assist the System Agency in providing the following services: i. Community evacuation; ii. Health and medical assistance; iii. Assessment of health and medical needs; iv. Health surveillance; v. Medical care personnel; vi. Health and medical equipment and supplies; vii. Patient evacuation; viii. In-hospital care and hospital facility status; ix. Food, drug and medical device safety; x. Worker health and safety; xi. Mental health and substance abuse; xii. Public health information; xiii. Vector control and veterinary services; and xiv. Victim identification and mortuary services.
