Eligibility and Entitlement. 1. Each full-time twelve (12) month bargaining unit member shall receive the following vacation entitlement:
a. More than one (1) year and less than six (6) years of continuous service: Two (2) weeks
b. Six (6) years and more but less than sixteen (16) years of continuous service: Three (3) weeks
c. Sixteen (16) years or more of continuous service: Four
Eligibility and Entitlement. Full-time staff 140 hours (4 weeks) of annual leave per calendar year of continuous service (and pro rata for incomplete years). Part-time staff On a proportionate basis of the full-time entitlement 7 day continuous shift workers 175 hours (5 weeks) of annual leave per calendar year of continuous service. Casual staff No entitlement; loading included in hourly rate in lieu of (among other things) annual leave
Eligibility and Entitlement. A full-time staff member is entitled to long service leave at the rate of 44 working days long service leave on full pay on the completion of ten years’ service. After the initial ten years’ service, long service leave accrues at the rate of 11 working days for each completed year of service and pro-rata for less than a completed year of service. Long service leave may be taken on half pay.
Eligibility and Entitlement. Full-time staff Staff Members will be credited with an entitlement of 350 hours (10 weeks: 7 weeks Sick Leave, 3 weeks Other Personal Leave) on date of commencement of employment Staff will accrue an additional 105 hours (3 weeks: 2 weeks Sick Leave, 1 week Other Personal leave) per annum from the date on which the Staff Member received the initial credit of Personal Leave. Personal leave accrues up to a maximum of 1820 hours (52 weeks) Part-time staff Proportionate of the full-time entitlement Casual staff No entitlement to paid personal leave

Eligibility and Entitlement a. Leave under this Section shall be available to any Employee who has twelve (12) months or more of Continuous Service calculated pursuant to the Seniority provisions of this Agreement. There shall be no hours-worked requirement for eligibility.
b. Any eligible Employee shall be entitled to up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid leave for FMLA eligible reasons in any twelve (12) month period. This period shall be measured on a rolling twelve (12) month basis, measured backward from the date any FMLA leave is used. Any time taken off in connection with any of the situations covered by the FMLA shall be counted toward the twelve (12) week period, except as otherwise excluded.
Eligibility and Entitlement. (a) All employees who have been employed for ninety (90) consecutive days of employment shall be entitled to up to five (5) days of paid illness or injury leave.
(b) Additional Short Term Illness and Injury Plan Benefits may follow provided the employee has met the following eligibility requirements under (c) to (i), The STIIP benefit periods that follow in (c), (d), (e) and (i) will be adjusted to be inclusive of any period of leave taken under (a).
(c) Regular employees shall be covered by the Short Term Illness and Injury Plan (STIIP) upon completion of six (6) months of active service with the Employer.
(d) Regular employees with less than six (6) months of service who are unable to work because of illness or injury are entitled to six (6) days’ coverage at seventy-five percent (75%) pay in any one
(1) calendar year.
(e) Regular employees with three (3) months but less than six (6) months of service will be entitled to fifteen (15) weeks (seventy-five (75) work days) of coverage, consisting of the above six (6) days, or what remains of the six (6) day’s entitlement, at seventy-five percent (75%) pay, and the remainder of the fifteen (15) weeks at two-thirds (2/3) of pay, not to exceed the EIC maximum weekly sickness benefit.
(f) Notwithstanding (c), (d) and (e)above, where a regular employee is on a claim recognized by the Workers’ Compensation Board while the employee was on the Employer’s business, they shall be entitled to leave with pay up to a maximum of one hundred thirty (130) days for any one claim in lieu of benefits as outlined in Section 1.02. Such leave period will run concurrent with the related STIIP period.
(i) Employer and employee contributions and deductions for Pension and Employment Insurance during the period of absence will comply with the applicable statutory requirements.
(ii) During the leave period, the employee will receive net take-home pay equal to wage loss benefits (inclusive of any earnings over and above basic pay) as calculated by the WCB, less any voluntary deductions and those employee deductions referenced in (i) above.
(iii) If new take-home pay as calculated in (ii) above is less than the employee would receive if they had continued to work, the Employer will top up so there is no difference in net take-home pay.
(iv) The compensation payable by the Workers’ Compensation Board shall be remitted to the Employer.
Eligibility and Entitlement. (A) There shall be no hours-worked requirement for the twelve (12) months preceding the start of the leave.
(B) The twelve (12) weeks unpaid leave entitlement under the FMLA shall be measured on a calendar year basis.
(C) In the event an employee should exhaust the FMLA entitlement due to their own serious health condition, such employee shall be entitled to an additional unpaid leave of up to four (4) weeks in connection with the birth, adoption or placement of a child, or the need to care for a family member with a serious health condition, should such an event occur within the calendar year as defined above.
Eligibility and Entitlement. All full-time and regular part-time (excluding per diems) employees who are scheduled to work more than sixteen (16) hours per pay period shall be eligible to accumulate earned time as provided herein except that employees still in the evaluation period will accumulate earned time during their evaluation period but may not use it until after the completion of the evaluation period. Earned time shall be accrued from the date of hire at the rate as set forth in the attached schedule. No employees will accrue earned time credit hours for any unpaid leave of absence for disability, maternity, education and/or personal reasons which exceeds a total of ten (10) weeks in the year. For any unscheduled absence an employee on the first shift must have notified his/her Department Head or immediate supervisor or their designee no later than one to two (1 - 2) hours prior to the employee’s scheduled starting time, and an employee on either the second or third shift must have notified his/her Department Head or immediate supervisor or their designee no later that two (2) hours prior to the employee’s scheduled starting time, unless the employee can establish that it is impossible to do so, in which case the employee shall notify the Employer as soon as possible prior to the scheduled starting time.
