When Full Shift Overtime. Is Required • Available overtime will be posted as far in advance as is possible and practical. • Cut off time for volunteers to sign up or cancelling for overtime will be 24 hours before the start of the overtime shift and sign up must be done in person by the individual signing up for the overtime. There will be no bumping of employees within that 24-hour period. • The cut off time for any overtime posted within the 24-hour window of the start of the overtime shift required will be at the discretion of the Supervisor. • Volunteers with the lowest number of overtime hours worked, who currently work in the operations area/production cell which overtime is required, will be given the overtime first. • If there are not enough volunteers from within the operations area/ production cell the overtime will be awarded to the person(s) from outside the operations area/ production cell with the lowest overtime hours worked and proven ability to do the work. • If no full-time employees accept overtime within the classification, then Team Leaders can accept the overtime. • Probationary employees will only be offered overtime after all full- time employees and Team Leaders have been asked. If at this time, the overtime has not been filled the company reserves the right to use whatever means necessary to fill the requirement • Employees will be contacted by a Supervisor if they were not successful in obtaining the overtime. If you have not been contacted, you are expected to work the overtime. • If you have signed up for overtime and wish to remove your name you must contact your Supervisor to advise them prior to its removal. • Volunteers must have proven ability to perform the work

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty (40) hours and double time thereafter.

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Extra Shifts Where an employee agrees to work or is required by the Employer to work a shift(s) or portion thereof, in excess of the employee’s scheduled work week, the employee will receive pay at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular hourly rate for such excess hours worked, with a minimum of three (3) hours at the rate of one and one‐half (1½) times the employee’s regular rate of pay.

  • Reasonable Overtime (a) There is a requirement to work reasonable overtime. Subject to that requirement being met, it is not compulsory for an Employee to work overtime in a particular case.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Regular Overtime Any overtime work scheduled in advance of the administrative workweek as part of an employee's regularly scheduled workweek is considered regular overtime. An employee shall be compensated for every minute of regular overtime work in accordance with 5 CFR 550.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Requirement to Work Reasonable Overtime The Employer may require any Employee to work reasonable overtime at overtime rates and such an Employee shall work overtime in accordance with the requirement.
