Xxxx Leave Pay Out. Teachers with at least fifteen (15) years of employment as a Teacher as defined in this Agreement with the School Corporation, and who are at least 55 years of age as of December 31 during the calendar year in which their employment ends, shall receive reimbursement for accumulated sick and personal business days at the rate of $50.00 per day for each day of accumulated sick or personal business days, up to a maximum of 330 days. The Corporation shall contribute the amount of the payout to the VEBA, for those Teachers hired before July 1, 1998 who are covered by the Corporation’s health insurance. The Corporation shall contribute the amount of the payout to the 401(a) for those Teachers hired before July 1, 1998 who are not covered by the Corporation’s health insurance. For those Teachers hired or rehired on or after July 1, 1998 (including all new hires), the Corporation shall contribute half the amount to each Teacher’s VEBA and half the amount to each Teacher’s 401(a).

Xxxx Leave Pay Out. Sick leave days not used by the individual employee shall upon retirement after ten (10) years of regular appointed service within the Edgewater school system receive a lump sum payment equal to $35.00 per day for each unused accumulated sick day in the employee’s bank after July 1, 1956. The total amount shall not exceed $5,000. In the event that death shall occur before retirement, the employee’s estate shall receive the lump sum payment described herein.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 175. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • Deferred Salary Leave Each employer ratifying this Agreement will establish or, as necessary, review and update a deferred salary leave plan consistent with Regulations issued by Canada Revenue Agency under the Income Tax Act. The parties may use the Application, Agreement, and Approval Form as a template (see Appendix H) for the deferred salary leave plan.

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual.
