Longevity Increment shall be construed to mean the amount of money shown on Appendix “B” to be paid in each respective and designated year of the effective life of this agreement determined by the number of years of service completed by an employee as of June 30 of the year preceding the year of increment. Such increment shall not be deemed to increase or modify the salaries as provided in Article VII, D, Appendix “A”, nor shall said increments be cumulative. It is intended that the increment is a one-time annual element of wages which shall terminate upon each annual payment thereof.

Examples of Longevity Increment in a sentence

  • College Assistants are eligible for the Longevity Increment if they were employed in that title for 500 or more hours in each of 15 contract years (July 1 to June 30).

  • Longevity Increment = $1000 Calculating Teachers’, JROTC Teachers’ and Athletic Trainers’ longevity increments: During the 5th year of service on the top step of the highest range, and each year of service thereafter, a teacher, a JROTC teacher and an athletic trainer are entitled to a career increment of $1000.

  • A Longevity Increment shall be added for all full-time (30 hours per week) unit members having completed 19 years of service in either the State Teachers Retirement System, the School Employees Retirement System, or the Public Employees Retirement System.

  • The Longevity Increment for College Assistants is forty-four cents per hour ($0.44/hr) as of January 1, 1996, for College Assistants who have fifteen years of service, and is payable no later than the January 1 or July 1 following the completion of 500 hours in the fifteenth year of creditable service retroactive to the date of completion of 500 hours in the fifteenth year.

  • Bargaining unit members shall receive an additional $500 Longevity Increment upon reaching thirty-five (35) years of service and each year thereafter.

  • Effective August 1, 2011, Longevity Increment Pay for Police Officer shall be eliminated.

More Definitions of Longevity Increment

Longevity Increment. All unit members who, at the end of the 1387 pay period (June 27, 1987), have completed the required years of District service, as defined below, shall be eligible to receive a longevity increment effective with the beginning of the 0888 pay period (January 17, 1988). 13.1 For all unit members who subsequent to June 27, 1987 attain the required number of years to qualify or to advance to the next increment, the following procedures shall apply: a. Unit members should apply for their longevity increment to the Classified Personnel Assignments Branch on a form provided by the District immediately prior to completion of the qualifying number of years of District service. However, failure to do so will not constitute a waiver of the unit members= right to receive benefits provided for in Section 13.1, up to a three (3) year right of recovery. b. The Classified Personnel Assignments Branch will verify eligibility for the requested increment and notify Payroll of the effective date of such increment. c. The longevity increment shall become effective on the first day of the pay period following completion of the qualifying number of years of service. 13.2 For purposes of computing years of District service, only time paid in regular status in the classified service shall be counted. Employees must have been paid for at least 75% of assigned time in order to be credited with a year of service. (For example, and without limiting the application of the previous sentence, in a year where A Basis employees are assigned for 260 days, a year of service shall be 195 days in paid status; for a C Basis employee assigned for 204 days, a year of service shall be 153 days in paid status.) Prior service in regular status shall be counted following any break in service in the event of reinstatement or reemployment from layoff.

The longevity increment for unit members in a sworn peace officer position shall be five (5%) percent above the base rate of pay after five (5) years of qualifying District service in a sworn peace officer classification. b. The longevity increment for unit members in a sworn peace officer position shall be eleven (11%) percent above the base rate of pay after eight (8) years of qualifying District service in a sworn peace officer classification. c. The longevity increment schedule for years of qualifying District service for Supervising School Safety Officers shall be:
Longevity Increment. For all teachers hired on or before June 30, 2012, the District shall pay a longevity increment of .33% (.0033) of the yearly salary multiplied by the number of years of service in the District based upon the following provisions. The following is an additional non-cumulative longevity increment to those stated above:
