Urgent Services definition

Urgent Services means services (other than Emergency Services) which are Medically Necessary to prevent serious deterioration of a Member's health, alleviate severe pain, or treat an illness or injury with respect to which treatment cannot reasonably be delayed.

Urgent Services or “Urgent Care” means medical care or treatment provided in response to exigent circumstances.

Urgent Services are clean-up services initiated within two hours of a request for services. Urgent Services require the Contractor to mobilize one or more staff and a work vehicle for service to a designated work site within a one to two-hour window of receiving an NTP (typically conveyed by telephone, text, email or in person) from an Authorized Representative. In the absence of a specific communication on time frame in the NTP, the Contractor shall ensure that at least one worker having tools and a work vehicle arrives on site within 90 minutes of the contractor’s receipt of an NTP. The City may incur increased costs for Non-Routine and Urgent Services according the contract rate sheet set forth in Exhibit C.

• If you receive Emergency or Urgent Services from a Non-Participating Provider, you may be required to pay the charges in full and submit a claim to Blue Shield to request reimbursement.

• If a Member chooses to obtain out-of-network Chiropractic Services or Acupuncture Services (other than Urgent Services) from a provider other than a Participating Provider, the Member will be liable for payment for such services.

• Members enrolled in this Trio HMO Health Plan may only obtain Covered Services from Primary Care Physicians and Medical Group/IPAs designated as Plan Providers in the Blue Shield Trio HMO Health Plan Physician and Hospital Directory, except for Emergency Services or Urgent Services when the Member is out of the Service Area.

• Services (other than Urgent Services) performed by a Provider who is a family member by birth or marriage, including spouse, brother, sister, parent or child are not covered.

More Definitions of Urgent Services

Urgent Services mean Covered Services provided when a Participant not residing in FCHN’s Service Area is temporarily absent from his/her area of residence and such services are medically necessary and immediately required: (a) as a result of unforeseen illness, injury, or condition; and (b) it was not reasonable given the circumstances for the Participant to obtain the services through a provider network in the Participant’s area of residence.

Urgent Services means Covered Services which are needed to treat an unforeseen illness or injury while temporarily outside of Plan's service area but within the United States or its territories, which are needed in order to prevent a serious deterioration of the Enrollee's health which such Enrollee would sustain if the Enrollee were to wait to obtain such services from a Participating Provider upon return to Plan's service area.

Urgent Services means Services requested or required by You on an urgent basis, outside of standard Business Hours, or otherwise within a shorter timeframe than previously agreed by Cloud.

Urgent Services means any Unscheduled Services or Miscellaneous Services which Hunter Water from time-time-time directs the Service Provider to carry out with a priority over other works (including Services) and which the Service Provider must:

Urgent Services or “Urgent Care” means medical care or treatment with respect to which the application of the time periods for making non-urgent care determinations could seriously jeopardize the life or health of the covered person or the ability of the covered person to regain maximum function, or, in the opinion of an attending provider with knowledge of the covered person’s medical condition, would subject the covered person to severe pain that cannot be adequately managed without the care or treatment that is the subject of the claim.
