Access to Premises by Union Staff. The Employer agrees that non-employee Officers and Representatives of the Union shall be admitted to the non-public portions of the premises of the Employer during working hours and upon arrival will give notice to the designated Employer Representative unless a different procedure is agreed to in secondary negotiations. Such visitation shall only be for the purpose of participating in Labor-Management Meetings, conducting Union internal business related to these Bargaining Units on non-work time of all participants, interviewing grievants, attending grievance hearings/conferences, and for other reasons related to the administration of this Agreement. Only designated non-work and meeting areas may be used for this purpose. Exceptions shall be only with Employer permission. Employee representatives shall have access to the premises in accordance with this Agreement. The Union agrees that such visitations shall be carried out subject to operational or security measures established and enforced by the Employer. The Employer may designate a private meeting place or may provide a representative to accompany the Union Officer or Representative where operational or security considerations do not permit unaccompanied Union access. The Employer Representative shall not interfere with or participate in these visitation rights. The Employer reserves the right to limit the number of representatives permitted on the premises at any one time in accordance with operational and security needs and to suspend such access rights during emergencies or in the case of abuse.

Access to Premises by Union Staff. The Employer agrees that officers and representatives of the Union shall be permitted necessary access to the premises of the Employer during normal working hours with advance or concurrent notice to the appropriate Employer representative. Such access shall only be for the purpose of the administration of this Agreement. Meetings related to the administration of this Agreement will normally be held in non-security, non-work areas. The Union agrees that such access shall be subject to operational or security measures established by the Employer and shall not interfere with the normal work duties of the employees. The Employer reserves the right to designate a meeting place and to provide a representative to accompany the Union officer or representative where operational or security considerations do not permit unaccompanied Union access. However, this provision shall not be construed to prevent Union access to lobby areas or to areas open to the general public. Access authorized by this Section shall be expedited wherever possible.
Access to Premises by Union Staff. Upon notice to the Human Resources Department (or designee), employee or non- employee Officers and Representatives of the Union may meet in District facilities when it relates to District Union business. Meetings shall not occur during working hours or when students are in session, except for the enforcement of, or as specified elsewhere in this Agreement. The Union’s designated Representative will not be unreasonably hindered or delayed in conducting their business. Only Employer-designated non-work areas and/or Employer-designated meeting areas may be used for the purpose of conducting Union business. Exceptions to allow the use of work areas may be made by work site Management. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to provide adequate meeting space. This space shall be as private as physical conditions permit.

Access to Premises by Union Staff. Upon arrival at the work location, the Union Representative will notify the Local Employer Representative of his/her arrival, identify the party or parties with whom he/she wishes to meet for the purposes described under this Article, and approximately the length of time the meeting will last. The Local Employer Representative will call the employee from his/her work station and provide a meeting place for the employee and the Union Representative.
