ACTING INCUMBENT. 33.01 To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be required to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days during which time the Employee may also be required to perform some of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period.
33.02 Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated additional limited duties to cover off for an Employee proceeding on annual vacation.
33.03 Where an Employee qualifies for acting incumbency pay the Employee shall receive a premium equivalent to four percent (4%) of their regular salary, in addition to their regular salary, or the minimum salary for the classification of the higher level position, whichever is greater provided that such total salary figure does not exceed the maximum of the higher level classification.
ACTING INCUMBENT. 14.01 To receive acting incumbency pay an Employee shall be designated by a senior official at the Employee’s place of work to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time the Employee may also be required to perform some of the duties of the Employee’s regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) consecutive work day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) consecutive work day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only limited additional duties.
14.02 Where an Employee is designated to be an acting incumbent in a position, the Employee’s salary may be determined in accordance with the following provisions:
(a) if the Employee is designated to act in a position in a classification with an assigned grade the maximum of which is less than one (1) increment higher than the maximum of the Employee’s current grade assignment, the acting salary shall be the lowest period in the new grade that exceeds the Employee’s current salary provided the maximum salary assigned the classification is not exceeded;
(b) if the Employee is designated to act in a position in a classification with an assigned grade the maximum of which is at least one (1) increment higher than the maximum of the Employee’s current pay grade assignment, the acting salary shall be the lowest period in the new grade that exceeds the Employee’s current salary, except if the increase is less than one (1) increment, in which case the salary shall be adjusted to the period next higher than the lowest period that exceeds the Employee’s current salary provided the maximum salary assigned the classification is not exceeded;
(c) if the Employee is designated to be an acting incumbent from a classification with no pay grade assignment to a classification with a pay grade assignment, the Employee’s salary is that period in the new grade which is higher than the Employee’s current salary, except if this increase is less than four per cent (4%), in which case the Employee’s salary is the next higher period.
14.03 It is understood that normally only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one Employee's absence.

ACTING INCUMBENT. 19.01 To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be designated by the Employing Division in writing to perform the principal duties of the higher level classification for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time he may also be required to perform some of the duties of his regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) days qualifying period in an acting incumbency capacity, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only limited additional duties. In the event the five (5) day qualifying period is reduced as a result of a Paid Holiday pursuant to Article 18.01, the qualifying period will be reduced by the number of Paid Holidays falling within the qualifying period.
19.02 Where an Employee qualifies for acting incumbency pay, he shall have his regular salary increased by five (5%) percent or be paid the minimum salary for the higher classification, whichever is greater. In no case shall the maximum of the higher classification be exceeded.
19.03 It is understood that only one acting incumbent may be designated as the result of any one Employee's absence.
ACTING INCUMBENT. 19.01 To receive acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be designated by the responsible manager to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of three (3) consecutive work days, during which time the Employee may also be required to perform some of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum three (3) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the three (3) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only limited additional duties.
ACTING INCUMBENT. 44.01 To receive acting incumbency pay, an academic staff member shall be designated by the Employer to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time they may also be required to perform some of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an academic staff member shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an academic staff member is designated only limited additional duties.
44.02 Where an academic staff member qualifies in an acting incumbency position, they shall receive a minimum five (5%) percent of current salary in addition to regular salary or, subject to approval of the President, the member may receive the minimum salary for the class in the higher level position.
44.03 It is understood that only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one academic staff member's absence.
ACTING INCUMBENT. 11.01 To receive acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be designated in writing by the Employer to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of three (3) consecutive work days, during which time they may also be required to perform some of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum three (3) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting in incumbency including the three (3) day qualifying period.
11.02 Where an Employee qualifies in an acting incumbency position, they shall receive a minimum of ten (10) percent of their current salary in addition to their regular salary or, they may receive the minimum salary for the class in the higher level position, whichever is the greater.
11.03 Where the Employer requires an Employee to substitute on another job outside of this Agreement the Employee will receive in addition to their regular salary, an amount commensurate with the additional responsibilities.
11.04 Academic Recognition for an acting incumbency as a Temporary Instructor will be provided pursuant to Article 50 of this Collective Agreement.
11.05 The Employer will designate only one acting incumbent as a result of any one Employee’s absence, except where the acting incumbent is absent due to illness, vacation, or any other approved leave. On completion of the one (1) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the one (1) day qualifying period.
13.02 Where an Employee qualified for acting incumbency pay, they shall receive a premium equivalent to ten (10%) percent of their regular salary, or the pay of the position in which they are acting, whichever is higher.

39.02 Where an Employee qualifies in an acting incumbency position, they shall receive a minimum of five percent (5%) of their current salary in addition to their regular salary, or the minimum salary assigned to the position; whichever is the higher, provided the maximum salary assigned to the new position is not exceeded.
39.03 It is understood that normally only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one (1) Employee’s absence.
39.04 When an Employee who has been serving in an acting capacity returns to their regular position, the Employee’s salary and anniversary day shall be readjusted to that which would be in effect if they had continuously occupied their regular position.
ACTING INCUMBENT. Any member of the Union may be appointed for one or more days as a supervisor and such appointment will not cause the member to be disqualified from the Union. Persons appointed Leadhands on a temporary basis shall be paid a premium of one dollar and ten cents ($1.10) per hour for one complete or longer. If a Xxxxxxx is appointed as a Project Xxxxxxx they shall not be entitled to Project Xxxxxxx premium pay. If any Employee is appointed temporary Area Coordinator, they shall receive a premium of one dollar and seventy cents ($1.70) per hour in addition to their regular wage rate for one complete shift or longer. Any member of the Union may be appointed for a period of time to the position of temporary Coordinator and such appointment will not cause the member to be disqualified the Union. Persons other than Foremen, appointed as Project Foremen shall be paid a premium of one dollar and seventy cents ($1.70) per hour in addition to their regular wage rate for one complete shift or longer. Notwithstanding the premium in Clauses and an Employee appointed to or Project Xxxxxxx shall not receive an hourly rate of pay that is less than the "County Department Union Employees" that he is responsible for.
