ACTING INCUMBENCY. To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an employee shall be required to perform a majority of the principal duties of a position in a higher paid classification for a minimum period of not less than 5 consecutive work days. During this time the employee may also be required to perform some, but not all, of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum 5 day qualifying period in an 'acting' position, an employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of the acting incumbency, including the 5 day qualifying period. Once an employee qualifies in an 'acting' capacity, they shall receive acting incumbency pay of 5% if acting for an employee in the bargaining unit, or the base rate of the higher level position, whichever is greater. Where an employee is required to replace 2 or more employees in sequence, the 'acting' periods shall be deemed to be one. Prior to the commencement of the higher duties being assigned, the employee will be advised of the following: start date, position title, work week definition for the position, hourly wage or monthly salary whichever is applicable, and a copy of the job description of the position to be filled. Other forms of stipend may be paid by the Employer with the agreement of the Union.

ACTING INCUMBENCY. 11.01 To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be required to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time the Employee may also be required to perform some of the duties of the Employee's regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only additional limited duties. 11.02 When an Employee qualifies in an acting incumbency position the Employee shall receive five (5%) percent of current salary in addition to regular salary or, subject to approval of the Employer, the minimum salary for the class in the higher level position. 11.03 It is understood that only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one Employee's absence.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 28.01 Where an Employee is authorized by management of the Employer to delegate his or her responsibilities to another Employee, that Employee who is delegated the responsibilities of an Employee in a higher paid classification within this Collective Agreement, for a period of one (1) day or more, shall be paid at the level of the higher classification in which the Employee is relieving, provided that the Employee is qualified to perform the responsibilities of the higher paid classification. When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, they shall suffer no reduction in pay and their pay shall remain unchanged. 28.02 At the conclusion of the acting incumbency in accordance with Article 28.01, the Employee will return to their regular position and be paid at the applicable rate of pay in accordance with the Salary Appendix for that position.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 12.01 To receive acting incumbency pay, a Continuous Employee shall be designated by the Employer to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time he may also be required to perform some of the duties of his regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only limited additional duties. 12.02 Where an Employee is designated to be an acting incumbent in a position, his salary may be determined in accordance with the following provisions: (a) if he is designated to act in a position in a classification with a salary range the maximum of which is less than one (1) increment higher than the maximum of his current salary range, his acting salary shall be the lowest salary step in the new salary range that exceeds his current salary provided the maximum salary step assigned the classification is not exceeded; (b) if he is designated to act in a position in a classification with a salary range the maximum of which is at least one (1) increment higher than the maximum of his current salary range, his acting salary shall be the lowest salary step in the new salary range that exceeds his current salary, except if the increase is less than one (1) increment, in which case his salary shall be adjusted to the salary step next higher than the lowest salary step that exceeds his current salary provided the maximum salary step assigned the classification is not exceeded; 12.03 It is understood that normally only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one Employee's absence. 12.04 When an Employee who has been the acting incumbent of another position returns to his regular position, his salary shall be readjusted to that which would be in effect if he had continuously occupied that position. 12.05 The designation of acting incumbency shall not exceed six (6) months without mutual agreement.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 31.01 An Employee assigned temporarily to a higher position for more than three (3) consecutive working days will receive the higher rate of pay for all hours worked at the higher rated position. 31.02 Normally only one acting incumbent may be designated as a result of any one Employee’s absence.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 21.01 An Employee who is assigned by the Employer to replace another Employee in a higher paid classification in the bargaining unit shall be paid the rate of pay for the higher classification in which the Employee is relieving. 21.02 When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, her Basic Rate of Pay will not be changed. 21.03 On each occasion that an Employee is designated in writing by the Employer to replace and/or assume additional responsibilities during the absence of an out-of- scope Employee, such Employee shall be paid an additional one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 27.01 Subject to Clause 27.03, an Employee assigned by the Employer to temporarily perform all or substantially all of the principal duties of a Position having a higher Classification (the “Incumbent’s Position”) shall receive Acting Incumbency Pay.

ACTING INCUMBENCY. An Employee will receive acting pay for the entire acting period, when the Employee is designated temporarily to perform on an acting basis the principal duties of a higher level classification for more than five (5) consecutive work days.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. 29.01 Where an Employee is designated by the Employer to temporarily perform the majority of the duties of a higher paid classification covered by this Collective Agreement, after three (3) days of continuously performing such duties, the Employee shall be paid the rate of that classification for the total period of acting incumbency. The Employee shall be paid at the higher classification at a step that provides an increase of at least 3.5%. 29.02 When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, the Employee will suffer no reduction in the Employee's regular rate of pay.
ACTING INCUMBENCY. An Employee designated by the Employer to perform the principle duties of a higher paid classification for a periods of three (3) consecutive working days or more will be paid a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour in addition to the Employee’s basic rate of pay to a maximum of the higher paid classification.
