Active and Engaged Learning. Describe how the program will provide opportunities for students to experience active and engaged learning that either supports or supplements, but does not duplicate, the instructional day. Our curriculum is designed with opportunities for the children to work in groups or individually, with hands-on activities that reflect the interests of the children and allow them to be creative, enjoy the use of a variety of mediums, and give them opportunities to be children. Our curriculum is staff-directed and child-directed, making sure that we are capturing the interests of the specific children we are serving. Our age-appropriate activities are designed to xxxxxx children's creativity while allowing them to learn and grow through each experience. In planning our curriculum, we incorporate recreation, art, cooking, music, self-esteem builders, multicultural awareness, environmental awareness, fine/large motor, manners, empathy, critical thinking, intrinsic/extrinsic motivation, and team work just to name some. As well, in our daily schedule, we offer a balance of indoor and outdoor activities; large and small group activities; and meaningful and engaging learning methods. Kids Choice believes in beginning with building these basic skills of learning to problem solve, communication, negotiation, collaboration, kindness, and empathy. Then expanding on these skills through a varied curriculum giving the school age children the chance to experience and determine what interests them. Our program provides activities that develop twenty-first century skills such as critical thinking, communication skills, creativity, problem solving, perseverance, information literacy. For example, we have had children very interested in cooking and provide cooking projects that continue to build their skill level. Then there are children that love sports, for example soccer and they are given the opportunity to learn specific soccer skills to enhance their ability and fun. Active and Engaged Learning. Students will be challenged with eight-week projects that spiral together XXXXX aligned social emotional learning categories, student interest, and standards based academic support. Each project will incorporate an activity that is not performed in their core scholarly curriculum. However, students will be encouraged to practice skills that they are developing in their core academic courses in their ELOP projects. For example, students have expressed interest creating Art, Cooking, Sports, Music, Board Games, Dancing projects.
Active and Engaged Learning. XXXXX and Right At School worked together to develop components of the program utilizing the RAS curriculum as a foundation. The RAS curriculum met all of the basic requirements of the ELOP but PAUSD sought to further enhance the program components with hands-on and engaging activities in science exploration, robotics, the arts and other opportunities that entertain and excite PAUSD students.   • MANAGEMENT OF THE BUSINESS Pursuant to Section 00-00-000 of the Act, and as stated in its Articles, the Company’s day to day affairs are managed by the Member. The Member is responsible for the daily operations of the business.

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Accident and Incident Investigations An accident, injury, critical injury, or hazardous situation will be investigated in accordance with the CJHSC’s investigation protocol.
