Advancing Annual Leave i. Full-time and part-time bargaining unit employees may be advanced no more than the amount of annual leave that would be accrued in the remainder of the leave year. However, advanced annual leave may not be granted to any bargaining unit employee if there is a likelihood that the bargaining unit employee will retire, be separated, or resign from TSA before the date the bargaining unit employee will have earned the leave. The advancement of annual leave is not an entitlement.

Advancing Annual Leave. Under unusual circumstances, advanced annual leave time may be authorized. Requests for advanced annual leave time will require department head approval and full justification. Each request for advanced annual leave will be handled as a separate individual case and be considered on its own merits. The City Manager will be the final approving authority on such requests.
Advancing Annual Leave. The Agency may grant an employee’s request for advanced annual leave in situations where the employee lacks sufficient leave to cover the period being requested and can be expected to accrue sufficient annual leave to repay the advance; provided that workload permits a granting of leave.

  • Taking Annual Leave (1) An employee may, on application approved by the Secretary, take annual leave in either of the following ways:

  • Cashing out of Annual Leave (a) Annual leave credited to an employee may be cashed out by agreement, subject to the following conditions: (refer to section 93 of the Act)

  • Accumulation of Annual Leave A. During the first three (3) years of employment, a regular or limited term employee shall earn approximately five (5) hours and fifty-one (51) minutes of annual leave during each eighty (80) hour pay period (approximately one hundred fifty-two [152] hours per year), or a prorated amount for any pay period in which the employee is paid for less than eighty (80) hours.
