Aid to Other Organizations. The Employer will not, during the life of this Agreement, meet and confer or meet and negotiate with any individual employee or group of employees or with any other employee organization with respect to the terms and conditions of employment of the employees covered by this Agreement, except through the Association or its authorized Association Stewards. The Employer will not assist or otherwise encourage any other employee organization which seeks to bargain for employees covered by this Agreement; including providing payroll deductions to other employee organizations.

Aid to Other Organizations. The Employer agrees not to, and shall cause its designated agents not to, aid, promote or finance any other labor or employee organization which purports to engage in employee representation of employees in this unit, or make any agreements with any such group or organization for the purpose of undermining the MSEA’s representation of the Bargaining Unit covered by this Agreement. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to prevent any representative of the Employer from meeting with any professional or citizen organization for the purpose of hearing its views, provided that as to matters which are mandatory subjects of negotiation, any change or modifications in conditions of employment shall be made only through negotiations with the Union.

Violation of this provision shall constitute the basis of revoking such services or privileges.

Aid to Other Organizations. The Employer will not negotiate terms and conditions of employment of members affected by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with any other employee organization, employee or group of employees, while the Michigan State Police Troopers Association remains exclusive collective bargaining representative for the Michigan State Police Troopers and Sergeants. If and when any organization, employee or group of employees request to meet to negotiate with the Employer, the Employer will refer it to the MSPTA as the certified representative organization. However, nothing in this Article shall affect or impair the right of the Employer to consult or meet with individual employees or groups of employees, concerning the exercise of their individual rights under any law, or rule or regulation of the Department, or the terms of this Agreement.
