Annual Employment. (a) The annual term of employment will be made known to all regular and seasonal employees at the time of engagement or after a change of job classification. (b) The Board will endeavour, where practical, to provide twelve (12) month employment for all employees other than those employed on less than a twelve (12) month basis.

Annual Employment. ‌ Section 33.01 Where ongoing full time employment may not be available for the full year the Company may offer casual employees who have service continuity permanent employment on an "annual" basis for an historically based pro rata minimum period of the year. The guidelines for the implementation of the provisions of this clause are as follows: (a) The contract of employment will be for a number of ordinary working hours per year, but in any case the minimum number of hours offered shall be 988 in any one year, i.e., equivalent to 6 months full time work of 38 ordinary hours per working week. (b) The employee may be offered further work above the agreed number of hours if such work is available, and such work will be at ordinary rates subject to the provisions of this clause, (c) The working year shall, in all cases, be deemed to begin on Jan1st and end on the Dec 31st following, (d) The ordinary hourly rate of pay shall be the same as for equivalent full time duties under this Agreement, as detailed in Appendix 1 for the relevant grade / classification. (e) An employee on annual employment shall be entitled to pro rata annual leave, personal leave, long service leave and other benefits according to the period worked during the year, (f) The overtime provisions of this Agreement, shall apply, (g) Employees classified only at Grade 2 or above may qualify for an offer of annual employment, (h) There shall be an annual review of the period of guaranteed employment, based on commercial requirements, (i) The annual employment scheme shall be administered in consultation with the site Consultative Committee.

  • Casual Employee Casual employee shall mean an individual who is hired on a job contract or on an hourly basis for unscheduled or irregular work. The only provisions of this Agreement applying to the employment of casual employees are contained in Schedule B.

  • Re-employment An employee who resigns their position and within 90 days is re-employed, will be granted a leave of absence without pay covering those days absent and will retain all previous rights in relation to seniority and benefits subject to any benefit plan eligibility requirements.

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.
