Approval of Vacation. The responsibility for approval of an individual’s vacation schedule rests with the building level supervisor who signs payroll forms for that building to which the employee is assigned. Vacation approval for custodians building engineers, site maintenance workers, and nutrition services workers who earn vacation should be shared with the respective School Service Center supervisor, when appropriate, in order to provide substitutes if needed. Approval of vacation for building engineers must be shared with the supervisor of Building Equipment and Grounds. If an individual’s request for vacation is denied, the supervisor must give a written reason why the request is denied.
Approval of Vacation. A. Employees will have the appropriate time accrued before use of vacation time is approved, except as provided in paragraphs "B" and "C" listed below.
