Additional Vacation Days. Employees who have accrued 720 hours or more of sick leave may exchange such sick leave for bonus (additional) leave days at the rate of 32 hours of sick leave for each additional eight (8) hours of leave, not to exceed a total of 40 added leave hours annually, utilization of which would be subject to the scheduling and approval by the Department Head. No request to exchange sick leave for vacation will be granted for less than thirty-two (32) hours of sick leave or eight (8) hours of pay.
Additional Vacation Days. Effective June 30, 1994, additional vacation time shall be granted to the ranking employees as follows: Assistant Chief - 2 (8-hour) days Employees may add such additional bonus time to their vacation leave, and if so, then must follow the requirements of vacation leave provisions. Employees shall have the option of either selling the day(s) back or using said day(s) as vacation time. Members entitled to said incentive payments shall make their election no later than July 1 of each year. Members shall be paid on the cash option no later than August of each year.
Additional Vacation Days. Employees who have accrued up to 719 hours of sick leave hours may exchange sick leave hours for vacation days in accordance with Yakima Municipal Code 2.40.030 E-C.
Additional Vacation Days. In addition to the annual vacation sign-up procedure, any employee covered by this Agreement may request at any time, upon 72 hours' notice, additional days off for vacation leave. Employees may request days which are otherwise available and shall be responsible for obtaining a qualified replacement based on current department policy.
Additional Vacation Days. Bargaining Unit Members shall earn additional longevity vacation days according to the following: After four (4) years of continuous service One (1) supplementary day annually After eight (8) years of continuous service Two (2) supplementary days annually After twelve (12) years of continuous service Four (4) supplementary days annually After sixteen (16) years of continuous service Six (6) supplementary days annually After twenty (20) years of continuous service Eight (8) supplementary days annually
