Additional Vacation Days. Employees who have accrued 720 hours or more of sick leave may exchange such sick leave for bonus (additional) leave days at the rate of 32 hours of sick leave for each additional eight (8) hours of leave, not to exceed a total of 40 added leave hours annually, utilization of which would be subject to the scheduling and approval by the Department Head. No request to exchange sick leave for vacation will be granted for less than thirty-two (32) hours of sick leave or eight (8) hours of pay.

Additional Vacation Days. Effective June 30, 1994, additional vacation time shall be granted to the ranking employees as follows: Assistant Chief - 2 (8-hour) days Employees may add such additional bonus time to their vacation leave, and if so, then must follow the requirements of vacation leave provisions. Employees shall have the option of either selling the day(s) back or using said day(s) as vacation time. Members entitled to said incentive payments shall make their election no later than July 1 of each year. Members shall be paid on the cash option no later than August of each year.

  • Vacation Days Employee shall be entitled to the same paid vacation days each calendar year during the term of this Employee Agreement as authorized by the Company for its other employees.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Reinstatement of Vacation Days - Sick Leave In the event an employee is sick or injured prior to the commencement of his/her vacation, such employee shall be granted sick leave and the vacation period so displaced shall be added to the vacation period if requested by the employee and by mutual agreement, or shall be reinstated for use at a later date.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take three (3) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal year following the date of employment. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of one and one-quarter (1 1/4) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.

  • Paid Vacation Except as otherwise provided in this Article, paid vacation shall be granted no longer than the fiscal year immediately following the fiscal year in which it is earned.
