Association Business Leaves. 1. The Western Education Association will have an aggregate of twenty (20) days per contract year for use of Western Education Association business. Notification will be made in writing to the building principal at least three (3) days in advance of the day to be used. Twenty-four (24) hours is sufficient notice in a case of emergency. The Western Education Association agrees to reimburse the Board for the cost of the substitute teacher.

Association Business Leaves. Employees may request other leave (paid or unpaid) to represent the Association at conferences. Such other leave requests shall be reviewed consistent with procedures and criteria for other leaves of absence and approved or denied at the discretion of the Sheriff or his/her designee. Association officers requesting paid or unpaid leave pursuant to this Section shall submit a written request for such leave to the Sheriff or his/her designee as far in advance as practical.
Association Business Leaves. A regular employee elected to an Association office or selected by the Association to do work which takes the employee from employment with the County may, upon request of the employee and the Association, be granted a leave of absence without pay for up to 3 months. Such leave shall always be contingent upon the operating requirements of the involved department or office. Prior to expiration of such leave and upon written request, the County will give consideration to extending said leave for an additional 2 months. Any employee who has been granted such leave and who fails to return at the expiration of said leave shall be considered as having resigned the employee's position with the County. The denial of such request for leave shall not be grievable under Article 18.

  • Leave for Association Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Association.   • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid released time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.
