AWARDING OF POSITIONS. In vacancies other than provided for under 19.02, part-time to full-time and full-time to part- time the following factors shall be considered: (a) Length of seniority shall be the determining factor when (b) and (c) are considered to be relatively equal in the judgment of the Corporation. The Corporation shall not exercise this determination in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner; (b) The employee meets the normal requirements of the job; and, (c) The employee meets the physical ability to perform the functions of the position.

AWARDING OF POSITIONS. All posted positions shall be awarded to the bargaining unit employee ranking highest on the seniority list who applies and possesses the minimum qualifications. If no bargaining unit employee applies or is qualified, employees within the bargaining unit will be considered for the vacant position provided they apply within the posting period. Said consideration will be given prior to advertising outside. An employee who is promoted to another classification or transferred will be given a reasonable trial period, but not to exceed ninety (90) days to demonstrate in actual work performance whether he has the ability to perform the work. If he does not have the ability to perform the work, he will be returned to the position from which he was promoted and given written notice of the reason. A copy of the notice will be sent to the employee’s xxxxxxx.

AWARDING OF POSITIONS. All such vacancies shall, as determined by management, be filled by awarding the position to the most senior qualified employee who bids for that position and has not been awarded a position within the last six (6) months. Employees will be transferred or promoted in accordance with their seniority, provided they have the necessary ability and experience and can meet the job description requirements. For purposes of this Article, “seniority” shall mean Employer Seniority accrued at this unit.

AWARDING OF POSITIONS. In promotions, demotions, transfers, layoff and recall, the following factors shall be considered: (a) length of continuous service; (b) knowledge, efficiency and ability to do the normal requirements of the job; (c) physical ability to perform the functions of the position; and when factors (b) and (c) are relatively equal in the judgement of the Corporation, which shall not be exercised in an arbitrary or discriminatory manner, factor (a) shall govern.
AWARDING OF POSITIONS. (a) All Level 1 positions shall be considered on the basis of seniority, fitness and qualifications before appointments are made. (b) In making all other staff changes, primary consideration shall be given to qualifications, ability and fitness to per- form the required duties. Where qualifications, ability and fitness are equal, seniority as defined in Article 23 shall prevail.

The Flight Attendant awarded this temporary position will return to her previous base/status at the end of this temporary assignment. This Flight Attendant will be eligible to bid any vacancies that may arise during the duration of this temporary
