Bidding Restrictions. Upon ratification, incumbents will remain in the Grid Control Center for 36 months before being allowed to bid or transfer to any other position outside of the GCC. Such employees may still bid or transfer for promotions/demotions that are within the line of progression and headquarters. New hires and bidders into Transmission System Dispatcher, shall remain in their Control Center for five years before being allowed to bid or transfer to another position outside of his/her current headquarters. Such employees may still bid or transfer for promotions/demotions that are within the line of progression (LOP) and headquarters. Employees who bid or transfer into a new classification within their line of progression will not be required to begin a new five- year retention period.
Bidding Restrictions. (a) There shall be no time limitation for an employee who bids on a permanent job vacancy within a Job Group which carries a higher wage rate than his or her current rate. However, an employee will not be entitled to bid on a permanent job vacancy within the same Job Group or one carrying a lower wage rate than his or her present rate for a period of twelve (12) months since his or her last job change under this procedure unless mutually agreeable to the Employer and the Union. (b) Employees hired for a specific department and employees bidding into a specific department shall remain in his or her chosen department for a minimum of one (1) year. Without prejudice to the foregoing, employees shall be allowed to bid on an apprenticeship or trainee job vacancy regardless of the time spent in a particular department. (c) Departments shall be defined as: Plant Includes all plant operating and mechanical crews. Pit Includes all mine operating crews, but does not include any mechanical or electrical trades. Maintenance Includes all shop, shovel and drill, gas shop maintenance, building and ground maintenance and servicing crews. Warehouse Includes all receiving, shipping and wicket warehousepersons. Electrical Includes all instrumentation, shop and plant electricians, and lineperson crews.
Bidding Restrictions. An employee who has completed one year of service from the permanent date of hire may bid on any position(s) he is interested in although: A. The following restrictions shall apply: 1. An employee who received an overall rating of “Below Requirements” or “Unsatisfactory” on an annual evaluation within the last twelve (12) months is not eligible to bid except on demotions. 2. An employee with active discipline in his Personnel file (reprimand or suspension) is not eligible to bid on lateral or promotional positions. 3. Any employee who does not meet the Agency attendance standard will not be considered an eligible bidder. (See Article 17, Section 17.7) 4. Any employee who has received a demotion, or lateral position change shall not be eligible for consideration for any other positions until eighteen (18) months from the date the employee began in his/her last position. In the event that an employee is unsuccessful in probation and/or makes a request and is approved to return to his/her former position, this shall also count as one position change, with the eighteen (18) months to start from the time that the employee is approved to returned. B. An employee who has accepted a permanent lateral transfer outside of his classification shall be subject to a probationary period. C. An employee whose appointment to a position would constitute a violation of the Conflict of Interest Policy - See Article 9.18 - shall not be considered an eligible bidder for such position.

Bidding Restrictions. Employees bidding into the above classifications, with the exception of the Utility Worker GSM/TPCO, after the effective date of this agreement will be required to remain in the above TPCO position for two years. This does not preclude the employee from bidding to a TPCO classification in another location or a different TPCO classification. A job award to another location or different classification does not change the original two-year commitment date.
