Section 17.7. 16 For purposes of calculating daily hours, time worked shall be rounded to the next one-quarter (¼) hour.
Section 17.7. 46 The provisions of this Agreement are deemed to be separable to the extent that if any application is found to 47 be in conflict with an existing law, a court of competent jurisdiction, Attorney General Opinion or Auditor's 48 Report, the decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, but the 49 remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. In the event any provision or provisions are 1 determined to be in conflict, both parties shall meet within thirty (30) calendar days for the purpose of 2 renegotiations and Agreement on the invalidated provision or provisions.

OF 7 THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT. 8 10 11 The District and Association agree to the following modification to the collective bargaining 12 agreement. 14 Members of the Association who leave service in the District in good standing, with ten (10) or more 15 years’ experience, including transfer credit, and who are employed in substitute capacity for a like 16 classified position shall be paid at the same Step on Schedule A as was held by them at the time of 17 separation from the District.
Section 17.7. 11 Employees required to remain overnight on District business shall be reimbursed for room and board 12 expenditures.
Section 17.7. 16 Employees attending District required staff meetings shall be compensated at the regular hourly rate.
Section 17.7. 31 The District shall pay the cost of required physicals for transportation department employees, not to 32 exceed the current physical cost established by Whatcom County Occupational Health. Substitute 33 transportation department employees may be reimbursed for the cost of required physicals after 34 completing thirty (30) days of substitute work.
Section 17.7. 33 The Agreement expressed herein in writing constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties’ 34 negotiations and no oral statement shall add to or supersede any of its provisions during its term. 35 Provided, however, if the parties hereto have commenced negotiations for a new contract in 36 accordance with statutory requirements and such negotiations are continuing at the termination of date 37 of this Agreement, the provisions of this Agreement shall remaining in full force and effect until the 38 parties reach impasse in these negotiations or the effective date of a new contract, whichever first 39 occurs. Nothing herein shall be construed to interfere with any person’s ability to initiate a 40 representation questions or election with PERC. 41 42 The parties acknowledge that each has had the unlimited right and opportunity to make proposals with
Section 17.7. 9 The District shall cover the deductible for damage to employee vehicles incurred while an employee is 10 performing District duties, up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), so long as the damage is determined 11 not to be the fault of the employee. Section 17.7. 30 The District shall provide contracted uniforms to maintenance personnel and coveralls to custodial 31 personnel. Maintenance protective clothing to be used during all working hours: custodial protective 32 clothing to be used when work conditions create an unreasonable hazard to the custodian's own work 33 attire. In addition, the District will provide all custodial staff with appropriate safety equipment.
Section 17.7. 46 Any employee required to travel from one site to another in a private vehicle during working hours shall 47 be reimbursed for such travel on a per-mile basis at the rate which will be determined by District Policy, 48 and which will be uniform among all employee groups.
