Child Protection Response. A referral is made to the HSE social work department which indicates the possibility that a child may have been abused or neglected and that the nature of this abuse is serious. A family may also have indicated that they do not wish to accept a family assessment response (path 2). The types of referrals which will require a child protection response by the HSE include the following:  Notification of child abuse from An Garda Siochana indicating that a crime against a child has been committed and a criminal investigation has commenced;  All cases of child sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, serious physical abuse (pattern of ongoing abuse/ evidence of bruising) and chronic neglect;  Repeated referrals and history of child protection involvement with the HSE;  Family are uncooperative and have made minimal to no improvement in the care they are providing to their child(ren);  Any other referral which in the professional opinion of the Social Work Team Leader requires an investigative response. It is estimated that an investigative response would be appropriate in 10-20% of all referrals received by the HSE each year. All other accepted referrals will receive a family assessment response (path 2). (HSE, HSE: National Service Delivery Framework Design (Work In Progress): 2012. Child Protection Response. Wherever possible, Nenan social work staff will participate in the child protection response. Participation will include accompanying the MCFD social worker in making home visits, conducting interviews (while maintaining the integrity of the interview), identifying contacts and arranging family meetings. The Nenan social work staff will also provide assistance to the family in understanding the concerns, interpreting policy and legislation for intervention. In circumstances where an emergency situation or staffing levels make it impractical for Nenan staff to participate, they will be advised and updated at the earliest opportunity (for example the following business day). Prior to MCFD staff undertaking a Child Protection Response, Nenan social work staff will be requested to participate and accompany MCFD staff during the investigation and will do so wherever practicable (i.e. staffing levels permitting), or unless in case of emergency safety situations. In the latter case, Nenan social work staff will be advised of the circumstances at the earliest practicable opportunity the following business day and then participate in all ensuing case planning. Where Nenan is involved, the social work staff will contact and conduct joint child protection response where practicable based on Nenan social worker designate availability. Nenan social work staff will provide referral support to the development of the response plan including; providing advice to MCFD regarding who may be an asset and/or a resource to the response plan (e.g. Elder, extended family, community member, and service organization staff). Nenan social work staff will provide direct support in development and implementation of any immediate safety planning that allows for a least disruptive response, and will provide ongoing support as necessary. It will be understood that each party will ensure that the parents (and children over 12) have signed consents for disclosure and sharing of information between Nenan and MCFD. Contact and/or Nenan involvement will not be delayed pending the confirmation of signed consents for disclosure and information sharing between Nenan and MCFD.

  • Child Protection The Contractor acknowledges that it (and its personnel) are aware of the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and all related laws concerning child protection (Child Protection Laws). The Contractor will ensure that it (and its personnel) comply with the requirements of the Child Protection Laws and policies of the DoE relating to child protection as notified to the Contractor from time to time. The Contractor must, at the Contractor’s expense, certify that the Contractor and the Contractor’s personnel are not a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws and undergo any other screening, such as the ‘Working with Children Check’, as required under Child Protection Laws or by the School (or DoE). Any of the Contractor’s personnel that is a prohibited person under any Child Protection Laws must not be engaged in providing any Services. The Contractor is to immediately advise the Department if it becomes aware that it (or its personnel) are the subject of a reportable allegation involving children.

  • Job Protection 15.9.1 Subject to 15.10 below, an employee returning from parental leave is entitled to resume work in the same position or a similar position to the one they occupied at the time of commencing parental leave. OGS will consider all information relevant to the Formal Dispute, and may, in its discretion, suspend, modify, or cancel the disputed procurement/Contract action prior to issuance of a Formal Dispute decision. b.   • Emergency Response Partners must develop, maintain, and carry out a response plan for public water system emergencies, including disease outbreaks, spills, operational failures, and water system contamination. Partners must notify DWS in a timely manner of emergencies that may affect drinking water supplies.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH A. Consultant will perform the Services in compliance with the most current versions of all laws, standards, rules, and regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and all state and federal laws and regulations relating to safety and health standards. Consultant shall perform the Services in compliance with, will furnish only supplies, articles, and equipment that comply with such laws, standards, and regulations. B. Consultant shall immediately notify Valley Water in the event of any personal injury accident or occurrence occurring during the performance of the Services. Upon Valley Water’s request, Consultant shall provide Valley Water with documentation fully describing the accident and injury and the actions implemented to prevent similar occurrences.

  • System Protection To prevent compromise of systems which contain DSHS Data or through which that Data passes: a. Systems containing DSHS Data must have all security patches or hotfixes applied within 3 months of being made available. b. The Contractor will have a method of ensuring that the requisite patches and hotfixes have been applied within the required timeframes. c. Systems containing DSHS Data shall have an Anti-Malware application, if available, installed. d. Anti-Malware software shall be kept up to date. The product, its anti-virus engine, and any malware database the system uses, will be no more than one update behind current.

  • Flood Disaster Protection This contract is subject to the requirements of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 (P.L.93-234). Nothing included as a part of this contract is approved for acquisition or construction purposes as defined under Section 3(a) of said Act, for use in an area identified by the Secretary of HUD as having special flood hazards which is located in a community not then in compliance with the requirements for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program pursuant to Section 201(d) of said Act; and the use of any assistance provided under this contract for such acquisition for construction in such identified areas in communities then participating in the National Flood Insurance Program shall be subject to the mandatory purchase of flood insurance requirements or Section 102(a) of said Act. Any contract or agreement for the sale, lease, or other transfer of land acquired, cleared or improved with assistance provided under this Contract shall contain, if such land is located in an area identified by the Secretary as having special flood hazards and in which the sale of flood insurance has been made available under the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 4001 et seq., provisions obligating the transferee and its successors or assigns to obtain and maintain, during the ownership of such land, such flood insurance as required with respect to financial assistance for acquisition or construction purposes under Section 102(a) of Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973.

  • Eye Protection Where an employee is required by the College or by legislation, in order to perform his/her duties, to acquire and wear prescription eye protection, the employee shall provide the College with proof of purchase by March 1 each year and the College shall reimburse to such employee, on the first pay day of April in each year, up to a maximum of twenty dollars ($20.00); in situations other than the foregoing, the College, may in its discretion, (which discretion shall not be unreasonably exercised) reimburse such expense where it is recommended by the health and safety committee constituted under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
