The Clothes Room clause establishes the requirements and provisions for a designated space within a property to be used for storing clothing and related items. Clothes Room. Each job of sufficient size and length to justify same shall be provided with a shed or room for the Employees to change their clothes and keep their tools.
Clothes Room. (a) Arrangements shall be made to provide clean and heated facilities for the eating of lunches, the hanging and drying of clothes and the safe storage and lockup of Employee and Employer tools. Such facilities shall have windows and venting with adequate lighting and provision for continuous heat twenty-four (24) hours a day. The Employer shall be responsible for having the lockup and lunchroom cleaned up daily and kept cleared of building materials and other construction paraphernalia. On jobs of insufficient size or duration to warrant the foregoing conditions, this clause shall not apply. On large jobs where an Insulator General ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ is employed by the contractor, it is understood that the lunch area shall not be used to store tools, clothing, or equipment. (b) Where the Employer claims "insufficient size or duration" and a disagreement arises, the resulting disagreement shall be adjudicated by a called meeting of the Joint Trade Board. (c) The Employer must assure the safety of members' tools and work clothes against fire and burglary, and when working over water or such other areas where tools cannot be retrieved while in his employ and in the event of loss thereby, replace same. If so requested by the Employer, the Employee will submit to the Superintendent or Company Representative an inventory of tools Heat & Frost Insulators, Local 118 Standard 1, 2014 to 30, 2016 carried.
Clothes Room. Every Employer shall, at all times, supply adequate drinking water in a covered container with individual drinking cups where necessary or a water cooler with sealed bottle water. The Employees shall be provided with, at the commencement of the job, a sanitary and adequately lighted and heated place of shelter, with benches and tables, where they may eat their lunch, change their clothes, and safely keep their tools. The Employer shall provide a “Gang with lock, for safe of Employee’s personal tools, where necessary. Where special wearing apparel is required, it shall be supplied for use of the Employees without cost. Such equipment supplied by the Employer be charged against the Employee, and credited to upon it return.

  • Clothing Employees after 152 hours employment with the Company will be supplied with: i) Two sets of shorts, overalls or trousers and shirts, or any combination of clothing as agreed between the employees and the Company which shall be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis; ii) Safety boots will be provided on commencement of employment and replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. iii) A jumper, or in the case of employees engaged upon construction work, a bluey jacket, which shall be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis. iv) Where ever possible ‘Australian Made’ protective clothing will be issued.
