CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND EQUIPMENT. Replace sums in paragraph one and paragraph three with seven hundred dollars ($700.00).
CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND EQUIPMENT. All regular full time employees covered by this Agreement shall be granted in the first year of the Agreement July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 a $100.00 increase, then on July 1, 2011 in the second year of the Agreement another $100.00 increase, bringing the Clothing Allowance to a total of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) except for the Town Hall Custodians who shall be granted a Clothing Allowance of five hundred and twenty five dollars ($525.00) to be paid to the employee on or before August 1st of the year due. Clothing is to be a standardized uniform of a blue shirt, blue jacket and blue work pants with a Town of Pembroke patch on the jacket and shirt, except for the Town Hall Custodian, whose work clothing is to be appropriate work attire for the performance of custodial duties. The members of the bargaining unit acknowledge receipt of the Town Accountant’s memo dated January 23, 1998, regarding tax regulations pertaining to clothing allowance. The Town agrees to provide any required protective clothing for its employees such as foul weather gear, gloves, safety glasses, etc. On July 1, 2012 each employee will receive four hundred dollars ($400.00) each year towards footwear to be paid to the employee on or before August 1st of the year due. This footwear allowance shall be paid retroactively to July 1, 2012 for those who were employed by the Town on said date.

Effective July 1, 2017, the Town and Union shall comply with IRS requirements, such that employees shall be reimbursed for all clothing or footwear purchased under this provision upon submission of a receipt for each item purchased.
CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND EQUIPMENT. §30.1 Each sergeant in the unit shall purchase uniforms, uniform accessories, including footwear, and equipment to be used in the performance of their duties on an “as need” basis, subject to the clothing allowances listed below in Section 30.5.

CLOTHING ALLOWANCE AND EQUIPMENT. Section 1. Effective July 1, 2009, the Town shall pay yearly the first $1250.00 of expenses incurred for uniform and required clothing which have become unserviceable by ordinary wear and use, and any items or expenses, except for provision hereinafter set forth, in excess of the $1250.00 figure shall be paid for by the employee. Effective July 1, 2011, said amount shall increase to $1300.00. All uniforms and required clothing so purchased must conform to department specifications. The allowance shall be paid in cash in full on August 1 each year. Any newly-hired patrol officer shall receive the entire amount, lump sum, at the time of hire and not receive an additional payment until the start of the next fiscal year.

Each regular employee of the Westborough Police Department shall receive, for and during each year of the contract, a clothing allowance upon presentation of vouchers in accordance with past practice. If an employee does not present vouchers for the full clothing allowance, he may apply the difference upon presentation of laundry or cleaning receipts. An employee that leaves employment within three months after receiving the clothing allowance payment shall reimburse the Town a pro-rated amount.

Each police officer (regular) of the Police Department of the Town shall receive, for and during each fiscal year, a clothing (and cleaning) allowance of $950.00 (nine hundred and fifty) to be paid upon presentation of vouchers in accordance with past practice; provided, however, that if a police officer does not present vouchers for the full clothing allowance, he/she may apply the difference between the allowance and the dollar amount of the vouchers presented, towards cleaning of his/her uniform, and the Town shall accordingly reimburse him/her for such difference in cash upon presentation of laundry or cleaning receipts thereof.
