Compensation Protection. 24.1 All employees shall be covered by the Workers' Compensation Act. No employee shall have her employment terminated as a result of absence from work with a compensable accident. Pending settlement of the insurable claim, the employee shall continue to accrue seniority and shall continue to receive the full benefits of this Agreement. 24.2 An employee prevented from performing her regular duties with the College on account of an occupational accident that is recognized by the Workers' Compensation Act, shall receive from the College the difference between the amount payable by the Workers' Compensation Board and her regular net salary. In order to continue receiving her salary, the employee shall assign her Workers' Compensation cheque to the College. 24.3 The Workers' Compensation supplement shall immediately cease in instances when: a) Final determination is made under the Workers' Compensation Act provisions that the employee is able to return to work, OR b) The Workers' Compensation Board grants the employee a permanent pension for either partial or total disability, and the employee becomes eligible for the amount of Long- Term Disability benefits provided by the Insurer, OR c) The expiration of two (2) years from the date of injury. 24.4 All accidents and injuries must be reported within twenty-four
Compensation Protection. 1. The compensation of a part-time Teaching Faculty shall not be reduced after the applicable 50 percent refund date due to student absences from an assigned class, provided the member shall devote any resulting free time to work for the College. 2. If a faculty member’s schedule for a given day is changed by the College and the faculty member is not notified of the change due to College error, the faculty member shall not lose compensation for that day due to the error, provided the member shall devote the originally scheduled time to work for the College if work is available.
Compensation Protection. (i) The maximum amount of aggregate Base Compensation protection for a Season in a Two-Way Contract is $50,000, provided that, if such Contract is signed after the first day of the NBA Regular Season, the maximum amount of aggregate Base Compensation protection for such Season shall be: $50,000 multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of days remaining in the NBA Regular Season as of the date such Contract is entered into, and the denominator of which is the total number of days of that NBA Regular Season. (ii) If a player’s Player Contract with a Team contains aggregate Base Compensation protection that exceeds $50,000 and the Team assigns or terminates the player’s Contract, then, during the Salary Cap Year in which such assignment or termination occurs, the player shall be precluded from: (x) playing under an NBADL contract for such Team’s NBADL affiliate, and (y) entering into a Two- Way Contract with such Team.

Compensation Protection. Subject to paragraphs 8.7, 8.8 and 8.9, if the Customer has paid Primary Damages to an End- user in connection with a contravention of the CSG for that End-user’s Service within the time frames prescribed by the CSG: (a) if the contravention is wholly attributable to OptiComm's acts or omissions, OptiComm will pay the Customer an amount equal to the Primary Damages; or (b) if the contravention is partly attributable to OptiComm's acts or omissions, OptiComm will pay the Customer an amount that is attributable to OptiComm's acts or omissions (but not exceeding the Primary Damages).
Compensation Protection. 28.3.1 All Employees shall be covered by the Workers' Compensation Act. No Employee shall have their employment terminated as a result of absence from work with a compensable accident. 28.3.2 When an Employee is injured in the performance of their duties during working hours, they must report such injury to management immediately. Providing the accident is compensable under the provisions of the current Workers’ Compensation Board Act, the Employee shall receive, in addition to their Workers’ Compensation Board payment, an amount from the Employer for a period of up to one (1) year. The combined payment shall equal the Employee’s regular monthly salary less the normal monthly deductions. 28.3.3 Pending receipt of payment from the Workers’ Compensation Board, suitable advances shall be mutually arranged for between the Employee/Union and the Employer.
Compensation Protection. 34.01 The Village is subject to the provisions of the Alberta Workers' Compensation Act.
Compensation Protection. (i) The maximum amount of aggregate Base Compensation protection for a Season in a Two-Way Contract is the “Maximum Two-Way Protection Amount” (defined below) for such Season, provided that if such Contract is signed after the first day of the Regular Season, the maximum amount of aggregate Base Compensation protection for such Season is fifty percent (50%) of the Base Compensation provided for by such Contract for such Season. In addition, a Two-Way Contract may also provide for Base Compensation protection for a Season to increase to up to fifty percent (50%) of the Base Compensation provided for by such Contract for such Season if the Team does not request waivers on the player by a certain date that is on or after the first day of the Regular Season encompassed by such Season. (ii) The “Maximum Two-Way Protection Amount” shall be $75,000 for the 2023-24 Season, and for each subsequent Season shall be $75,000 multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the Salary Cap for the Salary Cap Year encompassing the applicable Season and the denominator of which is the Salary Cap for the 2023-24 Salary Cap Year. (iii) If a Team assigns or terminates a Player Contract that contains aggregate Base Compensation protection in respect of the then-current and any future Salary Cap Year that exceeds the Maximum Two-Way Protection Amount for the Season encompassed by the Salary Cap Year in which such assignment or termination occurs, then, during such Salary Cap Year, the player shall be precluded from: (x) playing under an NBAGL contract for such Team’s NBAGL affiliate, and (y) entering into a Two-Way Contract with such Team.
Compensation Protection. If Employee is terminated without “Cause” (defined below), involuntarily terminated due to a position elimination, adverse impact reassignment, reduction of base pay by 10% or target compensation of 15%, or terminated upon mutual agreement of Employer and Employee, Employer shall pay Employee an amount equal to the sum of (i) 2 multiplied by the Base Salary and (ii) 2 multiplied by the Target Bonus, payable over a two year period following Employee’s termination in substantially equal installments in accordance with Employer’s normal payroll practices, subject to all applicable taxes and withholdings. “Base Salary” shall be defined as the annualized base salary appearing on Employee’s Compensation Change Statement for the compensation cycle in which separation occurs. “Target Bonus” shall be defined as the bonus target value appearing on Employee’s Compensation Change Statement for the compensation cycle in which separation occurs. It shall be a condition to Employee’s right to receive the amounts provided for in this Section 11 hereof that Employee execute and deliver to Employer an effective Separation Agreement and General Release of All Claims (“Release”) prepared by and agreeable to Employer, which includes a waiver and general release of all claims against Employer and the Released Parties (defined in the Release), within 21 days (or, to the extent required by law, 45 days) following the date of Employee’s termination and that Employee not revoke such Release during any applicable revocation period. For purposes of this Agreement, “Cause” shall be determined solely by Employer, and includes, but is not limited to, the occurrence of one or more of the following events:
